After playing South Carolina this year in November and last year in October, the Bulldogs will open SEC play in 2018 playing in Columbia on Sept. 8., the more traditional spot on the schedule.

Good.

I really like this. Having an early game with Georgia always felt right to me, and was really something to look forward to.

I know the Dogs have many rivals, too many to count poor old us, but do they like having this matchup early too? Really hope so, because I'd like to see it stay about this time of year.

It just isn't college football unless you lose 10 pounds through sweating in a hot as hell September UGA/South Carolina game.

I love the UGA/SC games. My favorite of the year.

We're scheduled to play Ole Miss next year...do we just scrimmage that day? They won't have a team to field against us.

So we're definitely assuming Ole Miss gets the death penalty handed to them at the end of the season? I don't know why the NCAA would wait otherwise.

Curious what the SEC would do schedule-wise if Ole Miss doesn't have a program for a year or two.

They'd probably give us Bama and LSU in the same season.

I still don't forgive the REC for screwing us on scheduling during our good years.

Good. It has been one of the better beginning of season big time games.

I hate it too, but we had some really, really boneheaded losses during those years.

We were beating LSU for like 98% of the game in BR.

That home loss to Auburn and the road loss to Tennessee...I mean, wtf?

Well to get even more pedantic, I even have a preferred time for kickoff.

4 or 4:30. I like seeing the shadows start to get long and the lights come on.

That is for both stadiums by the way. Prefer this one not to be a 7 or 7:30 kickoff. And Noon is too early.

I didn't want to get treated like CIYE does whenever he mentions UGA suspensions.
