I'm sure they'll talk to Jerry Meyer at SC, Kevin McCullin at Virginia, Cliff Godwin at Ole Miss, Scott Forbes at UNC, Kevin Schanll at UCF, Butch Thompson at MSU and Braldey LeCroy at Clemson.

They don't need to get an assistant. They can get a mid major HC.

Agreed. They can't afford to take a chance on an assistant. The state of Georgia is filled with baseball talent. There is no reason they should be as bad as they are.

I'm hoping that since McGarity is UGA-bred and Jeremy Foley-trained, he will blow this shite out of the water

your guy didn't decline only then to decide to go to atlanta twice in a row while simultaneously peppering in aneurysm-inducing losses and shitty youtubes. eh, what're ya gonna do

but hey, everyone knows what this means.... new coach shopping!

yeah but he did sandwich a trip to the CWS final with career-ending series wins over Tech and UF. So he was really trying

I really think Stricklin would be a great hire. He's been great at Kent St, consistent. And he's coached in Georgia before.

I know Coastal Carolina's coach has been with them since forever and it is his alma mater....but I wonder if Georgia could talk him into moving to Athens. The guy has done a hell of job at that program.

too high of highs and low of lows. richt gradually works his way back and forth. end 2007 #2 after starting the season turribly, have 2008 where we miss expectations, 2009 uga becomes mediocre, 2010 uga goes full fricking retard, 2011 UGA becomes good, 2012 UGA starts off slowly and ends in the top 7 or whatever.

see, now i'm fear for the downward slope and if ya ask me it's more aggravating cause richt is better at dragging it out. cause, ya see, perno went CWS to utter shite pretty quick. with the richt model he'd had to have had a few years to decline, a brief spike, followed by more years of decline. also, perno would have firmly entrenched himself into the hearts of bulldogs everywhere. see, i took the long shot now that i think about and oh boy i've gone cross eyed

maybe. i honestly don't know butkus about any college baseball coaches but based of what i've seen, known, and the general feeling here i think we could get a nutless monkey in here and do pretty damn well. only one way to go is up and that starts with us ending the whole compete with the MLB thing. i'll be content with any upstart coach as long as he doesn't fit the assistant, discount coach mold that UGA has stuck with in the past. i doubt mcgarity would do that to us but ya never know with those goofballs

Nobody said you had to hate the entrenched football coach. And I can't help it that I picked the easier-to-pick-off coach in the less followed sport

I don't know how these search firms work, but you should ask that in the email.

But I'll take 25%.
