We don't throw deep a whole lot. Not really part of our gameplan. We tend to stick to the mid to short range passing game staying underneath the safeties. Every now and then when we feel we have a good matchup we'll send Mitchell or or TK deep but it's usually not the first look for Murray.

i think this new philosophy is what has radically changed the offense. bobo loved the deep shite but us becoming reliant on the short passing game and actually playing to our talents has been huge

No RB's and we coughed up the football. Along with the fact that we just played shitty. Defense played well though, which has been our MO for the second half of this season

So I take it I won't be getting a list of your Oline's fears or phone numbers?

Oh well. Never hurts to ask.

From what you all have said it sounds like Murray will be running for his life, and with our speed on the ends he won't be getting too far.

I loved watching Sam Montgomery chase Cobi Hamilton this weekend. If Simon doesn't tackle him, Sam was about to jump him

No flame intended here, but I'm just curious what happened with Kentucky...shitty game? or just played flat much like LSU did against WKU in the first half

I didn't watch the game, just saw the score and am curious

we played like shite. carlton thomas didn't dress and that wasn't known until that night. then crowell went down 2nd carry. so by our 3rd series we had already lost our top 2 backs, top 3 if you include samuel since UF, so we had to play walk on brandon harton and rfr and 5th string RB ken malcome. they did ok but both fumbled a few times as well. our OL also just did not come to play and murray was being hit way too much and he also wasn't sharp

there was a lull from the AU drubbing and couple the injuries, turnovers, and lackadaisical play our offense was just horrid. but luckily our defense was on fire and completely dismantled UK and their only TD came off a few blown coverages

haha nope. and he may be running a lot for his life but we have now utilized our short to mid range passing game and really we try to get it out before the pressure gets there. we also run a LOT of screens to keep teams honest. honestly, the last few games (even AU in the 1st half) we substituted the passing game for the run game. we have changed into a team that sets up the run through passing and once we can establish the run we go into what we do best, play action

i say this with some hope but i am pretty sure bobo and richt realize our OL is at a huge disadvantage and they are game planning any way we can get an advantage or curtail the LSU pass rush.

Wish i could make it to ATL this week, but my wallet and liver probably would be better off watching it at home.

ETA: nvm the liver part. That's screwed either way.

I want Marlon to line up against Mathieu...isn't he like 5'9? 6'5 vs 5'9. I like that...a lot

Well, here's my take. I've always been of the opinion that the running back makes the line look better than it actually is. (see Knowshon Moreno)Same this year. When Crowell is healthy, this line looks a whole lot better than when he's not.(or not suspended)

Line pass blocks better than it run blocks, however, they still need help from our TE's occasionally. I feel like GA could exploit LSU LBers with Charles, but not if he's pass blocking half the time. May see a lot of two TE sets to get Charles more in the mix. The line will win some, lose some, but staying in front of the chains will be everything for GA's offense.

i like putting him, orson, and mitchell on the honey badger. i think physically he'd whip brown's arse but if he wants to become a man and use that 6'5 frame and be somebody then he could be useful. otherwise i want our most physical guy, orson, or the fastest, obviously mitchell, out there wearing him out stamina-wise

Did you see what Jarvis said about the UGA defense not getting the respect LSU's does? And how, in his opinion, the UGA defense is better.

I hate bulletin board shite, but if anyone our defense is going to, I'm glad it's him, because he can back it up

I guess you could put a 6'5 guy in the slot... that'd be really effective think son.
