And why exactly would LSU make that trade?

...in those 8 years, Same number of national titles (1), same number of SEC titles (2), same number of national title games (2), not to mention LSU has been significantly more consistent and has more wins over the period and hasn't had to fire its head coach, which Auburn did not once but twice in those 8 years.

I Feel confident that I can handle negotiations for LSU as an institution on this one: no deal, no trade.

This should be interesting. Let's see what kind of nonsensical argument they can come up with.

Trading a two loss championship for an undefeated championship.

Trading away 21-0 for the more palatable (seemingly) FSU loss.

2012 was very bad, though.

You are a true victim of this site. You really should step away for a while

Worried more about what a bunch of college kids think about your program vs actually winning National Championships is pretty bad man..

My bet is, if you did not have the internet, you would not care about college football at all...

Its more about the discussion on the internet than the actual games.

Big ole casty

Not that it matters (a fictional trading of resumes, lol), but no reasonable person would trade LSU's last 8 years for Auburn's last 8. Auburn and LSU both have had some great and fairly similar if not identical "major" accomplishments, no doubt about it....but, put quite simply: LSU has just been better overall during the time span... It is what it is. Hence, the mention of a "trade" in regards to LSU is puzzling, because it simply doesn't even apply.

Now I'm certainly not implying an auburn fan would/should want to trade with LSU, I'm merely pointing out, in response, that under no circumstances would LSU want or even need to "trade" with Auburn given the facts of the time span.

There is only one school in the SEC (and the country for that matter) that has "outdone" LSU overall since 2006-07. And no disrespect meant to Auburn, you guys are awesome and certainly an elite force to be reckoned with long-term, but that school is not AU.

LSU: 87-22 with 1 NC and 2 SEC titles

Auburn: 75-35 (Not sure but I'm pretty sure this is close) with 1 NC and 2 SEC Titles

It's not even a question really....
