Tennesse Vile fans, does it bother you in the least that Mississippi State has a better record against us over the last 8 years?

A national title year would easily be the most fun season, but I had a blast over that same 10 year stretch at a lot of very memorable UGA games. Like I said, I'm not saying I wouldn't take it but I'd have to think about it.

Naa.... who wants one of those old pre playoff era invalidated mythical trophy championships....

That would be like getting a VHS movie tape at Christmas this year...

Not to mention everyone outside of Auburn still thinks Auburn cheated to win the 2010 MNC. Just doesn't seem worth the trade.

This is a clear indication that we are fricking geniuses at Auburn. All that national investigative attention and nobody showed SQUAT in terms of evidence against Auburn. MSU, yes. Auburn not one drop.

We are either the smartest criminal organization i n college football or you other folks have been looking for excuses on why you got beat.

As an Auburn grad, I am pretty sure we are not geniuses. Gus..maybe though.

It's either a)Win at a very successful clip, around 10 games a year like we have been, with 0 titles, or b)Have some fairly average years, some downright atrocious years, and a national title. I'd take the title. That's what you play for. Also, we're just talking about the last 8 years too. Since 2006 we've had a few stinker seasons ourselves.

Why is everyone acting like 2011 Auburn was a horrible team. Weren't they 8-5?

Yeah or be the Patriots and win a few Super Bowls! But that wasn't the parameters of the discussion.

Also, wouldn't Florida prefer their last 8 years over Auburn? Two titles, plus Tebow.

You are assuming that every week of a horrible year like 2012 is like a knife plunging into your heart. To be honest you become numb to it and joke about it. Not like being the hell that is Georgia where your heart is ripped out year after year.

The NC was absolutely awesome and, for me at least, the absolutely incredible years far outweigh the horrible years, or the "almost did it!" years.

I thought the title referenced UGA, Bama, and LSU

Didn't realize it had been relegated to only UGA and UA

Like I said earlier, Auburn has become one of the easier wins over the years. The Hogs and Rebels play us tough even when they are shitty. And I'm sure you can throw A$M in there now considering that we are Turkey Day rivals now. Auburn and Miss. St. are neck and neck in who gives LSU the least trouble year after year.

Not sure why some in here are shying away from having Auburn recent success. Hell, I'd take Auburns 2013 season over any Richt has had. And that's not a shot at mark, but Nc'S are what you play for.

This question came up on a GA board a while back, and here is my take on it. Would it be great to be in and win a national title? Absolutely. But at the end of the night, everyone is back in the same boat for the following year. I love the anticipation of the college season. I love the stress of week to week needing to win. Last year was bad enough watching so many great players go down one after the other. I can't even imagine going through a season where it didn't even matter if the starters were available or not.

To the question about the 2011 Auburn team, it was UGA posters laughing about them, and if you had watched the 2011 UGA-AU game, you would understand why. If I recall, UGA didn't have more than 1-2 pass plays the entire second half. They were just running it straight up the middle, and they still kept scoring on AU. Yep, just watched it again. 2 passes thrown in second half. 305 total rushing yards with Isaiah Crowell ( who fumbled twice), Carleton Thomas, and Brandon Harton.

And I guess this gets me to the heart of my fandom, the wins I remember are against teams I hate UGA losing to. I derive as much or more satisfaction from those wins as I would a NC game. In 2012, I wanted UGA to beat Bama. I didn't really think of it in terms of NC at the time. So yeah, a couple of seasons watching the Dawgs not even being able to compete against rivals would just be God-awful for me.

I don't even remember any years except when we at least win the west. If your not in the sec championship game - your season is usually shite. Another plus side - bad seasons mean new and better coaches the next. Beats being avg always.
