FWIW - I do agree that the PC bullshite is out of hand

BUT, when vulgarities are thrown out and blatant, it has to be stopped
OR, do we want football games at our universities to be a place where children and families are not welcome?

This is such bullshite. It was a dumb chant, but it was OUR dumb chant, dammit. I realized it was gone on Saturday and just knew it was some PC bull. Students will chant it anyways just like they tried to on Saturday.

One of my memories of attending UF games as a child was the intro of "The pride of the Sunshine, the University of Florida fighting Gator marching band," and the band blaring out, WAY DOWN UPON THE SUWANEE RIVER!!!

Do you think that most of the band really gives a frick about the football game? It didn't at my college. Just part of the duty to get the scholarship money.
The real attraction to the football game was knowing that once it was over and the instruments were packed, the party began.
I could tell you things.
Know that by and large, college music departments pretty much tolerate the athletic departments but generally view them as kind of a pain in the arse.
