UF also doesn't want its students chanting "Move Back You Suck" chant.
Those not familiar with the chant, UF has always played it whenever the opponent has a penalty.

LSU has had like 4 songs "retired" by the band director due to vulgar chants by the student section. It sucks when the actions of few result in the majority being punished, but that is how society works. I can drive a car at over .08 but because some sorority girl killed a family at .08 we all have to suffer.

I, along with countless others, am just devestated by these recent turn of events. Nothing signifies college football more so that the "move back, you suck" chant from UF. A tradition old as time. What a senseless act

I was looking at gatorcounty and the older posters over there complain about crowd noise and student support not being the same but then they're ecstatic about the band getting rid of one of the best songs for getting the students loud and engaged.

I always chanted "too bad you suck" my stepson loved it when he was 8 yrs old and laughed like hell...sad. I dont care about Dragnet theme song...but the "you suck" is so hilarious.

I've got the answer...
All college music departments should say 'frick you' to the athletic department and quit coming to the games.
The band does not exist solely for the purpose of providing entertainment at athletic events in the first place.

That will probably go away at some point (already did in the early 2000s before coming back). It's a real shame too because it is such a phenomenal jimmie rustler.
