Today showed that. UF can probably get to the Elite 8/Sweet 16 consistently if BD has the talent.

But two straight years with 11 point leads in the final 10 minutes, and the team loses it each time? Can't happen.

For any program, 2 straight Elite 8's is quite an achievement. But it should've been 2 straight Final 4 appearances.

Walker really screwed up in the final 10 minutes, but I blame last year and today mostly on Billy Donovan.

Not for nothing, you sound like a LSU fan saying fire Miles immediately after the game was over on Jan.9th. No one outside of Florida homers thought y'all would make the elite 8.

All I'm saying is you can't give up a 9 point lead two years in a row to teams that CLEARLY have far less talent than your team does.

Teacher vs. Student.

Doesn't the teacher typically win out?

So glad the midget wont be back again next year with all his jacking up ill advised bombs at the worst times. Sure Walker makes some sometimes but I blame him for the loss...miss two ft's and then you have Murphy open for a 3 and you jack a contested 2 when your ice cold...unbelievable

Meh. Pitino always has his teams ready come tournament time. He would beat a lot of teams right now.

While I can truly appreciate your disappointment in losing a nice lead down the stretch, you are not being fair to your team or your coach.

Wasn't Louisville a 4 seed and Florida a 7 seed?

Louisville has actually recruited just as well, if not better, than Florida over the past 4 years, so they don't CLEARLY have far less talent than your team does.

Louisville drilled #1 seed Michigan State in the final 5 minutes of their game with them. Louisville is a damn good team with a damn good coach.

Don't bite the hand that feeds you and Billy Donovan feeds the Gator BB program very, very well.

2 horrible losses. Should have been in the final 4 two straight years. Both losses fall squarely on Donovan. Allowed 10-0 runs tonight and last year Butler and never used a timeout??? Kept cold shooters that don't play defense on the floor when they should have been benched.

That said, I wouldn't want any other coach in basketball (college or pro). He gets more out of less. Yes, Walker sucked monkey nuts tonight but I thank him for his accomplishments (taking this team to back to back Elite 8's). The guy has tremendous heart, just doesn't have the height.

If anything Louisville has actually been the disappointment this year. They have top 5-10 talent but played like shite midseason. They have been coming back in to form since the beginning of the BE tournament.

They've had a lot of season ending injuries this season, in their defense. I hate Louisville, but they could have been a lot better barring some key injuries.

Nope. They've been missing Blackshear, Buckles, and at least one more player that I can't remember right now. Blackshear and Buckles were supposed to be big contributors for them.

As of Jan 18th, this was their injury list...

-McDonalds All American freshman guard Wayne Blackshear injured his shoulder during a practice prior to the exhibition in Chicago last spring. He was unable to practice until late October. He was on the court for one inter-squad scrimmage and the following practice he tore his labrum and has yet to make his season debut.
-Rakeem Buckles missed 9 of the first 10 games this season while still recovering from his torn ACL from last February. He tore his ACL in his other knee on Monday afternoon against Marquette and is now out for the remainder of the year and likely all of next season.
-Stephan Van Treese has only played in three games thus far due to a knee injury.
-Mike Marra tore his ACL in the second game of the season. He is out for the year.
-Elisha Justice has missed several games due to a concussion and other lingering issues.
-Russ Smith missed a game because he had a sore neck from sleeping on it the wrong way.
-Peyton Siva has suffered a concussion and a sprained ankle. He only missed one game but has hardly been able to practice, which has shown in his game.
-Elisha Justice missed several games recovering from a concussion
-Jared Swopshire has played all season but will likely never be the same player he was prior to his groin injury. He lost a lot of muscle and was never exactly thick to begin with.
-Kyle Kuric has missed the last two games with a high ankle sprain. He also toughed through a slight knee injury early in the season.
-Freshman Kevin Ware was ineligible until the semester break. He has played ok since he came in however he injured his knee today in practice.

Wow I knew they had some injuries but didn't realize it was anywhere near that extensive. I would have loved to.see you two go head to head will full rosters. That December game was already good but a final four matchup will be epic.

I really would like to see a UK-Louisville matchup and then Kentucky-UNC championship game. You really couldn't ask for a better set of basketball games than those two with all the storylines and history involved.

Louisville had better big men. I would take Louisville's two inside guys (the African shot blocker and the Bowling Green Kentucky freshman power forward) over any two Florida inside guys. Florida's point guard is much better. Louisville's point guard is way over rated.

I think you are misinformed on how it works. Just because you have a 9 point lead with a few minutes to go does not prove the coach is bad. Did you notice that Florida did not hit any 3's the last several minutes of the game, while Louisville actually shot pretty well the last five minutes of the game.
