He didn't play on special teams in the last two games (He was actually a big special teams player the first four games)
He may have been suspended, but it wasn't announced until he was formally charged and at that point he was kicked off the team or "suspended indefinitely"

Why did it take 1/2 way through the season for McElwain and the NCAA to figure out that a kid gaining 43 lbs. of muscle in a year is suspicious of chemical asisstance?
