I've been completely honest regarding my thoughts here. I've even said don't take it on faith - wait til he proves it. To say that I'm hyping him when the claim is that I believe he'll prove to be better than Bentley by the end of the year is pushing it. Bentley has talent and potential but has done nothing yet. If Bentley had actually done something *then* it would be accurate to say I'm overhyping QD.

I'm saying wait and see. I've also said he could melt under the lights *but* if he doesn't melt I believe he'll prove to be far better. With nothing proven by either it's not as though Bentley is a high bar.

Bentley performed better as a true freshman than your senior star Joshua Dobbs last season, under heavier pressure:

Bentley:

15-20 (75%), 167 yds, 2 td, 0 int, 6 sacks, 4 QBH

Dobbs:

12-26 (46%), 161 yds, 1 td, 2 int, 2 sacks, 2 QBH

Can't see how "by the end of the season" Dormady will out-perform Bentley as you contend, as Bentley already has more experience, and he'll be improving as the season progresses just like Dormady will.....

Gators QBs all suck and we will be lucky to be 2-10, so not much to see here. I'm just hoping we can beat Northern Colorado.

Bentley was a high school senior playing as a starting QB in the SEC last season. That was pretty d@mn impressive.

That's some some funny arse shite based on selective stats and no he was not under heavier pressure.

Obviously he wasn't better than Dobbs except in that one game.

But S Carolina'a o-line was much worse than Tennessee's. They allowed 16 more sacks and 22 more pressures. They were among the worst in America.

You can point to the sacks and say Dobbs had better escapability but the difference in pressures shows you just how atrocious their o-line was.

The QB situation at UF is a complete mystery. Franks is the predicted starter right now although calls for Zaire are starting now that he is transferred.

We've got guys. We just don't know who is THE guy.

Del Rio's time has come and gone IMO. He was decent, but the injuries are hurting his performance. He has been a liability in games because he plays hurt and turns the ball over.

Bentley looked really good last year, and until proven otherwise, he may be the best Qb in the East.

The Tennessee kid looked impressive in his spring game, but it could be a mirage.
