Teams like FSU, Louisville USC etc should hire him.

Bill Clark has been amazing. Both this year and before.

But he's done everything in the state of Alabama.

Now if Auburn suddenly looks for a new HC then if they don't hire Bill Clark then they are on some drugs I need to sample thank you.

Can he be great outside of his personal area? That is up in the air. But for right now I'd say he's the future Auburn coach in waiting. I hope they don't go that route because he could really do well there.

I hope they don't but I'm also realistic. He's a hell of coach. People forget what he did at JSU too.

I've been advocating for Bill Clark since he got UAB bowl eligible in 2014. People who don't live in Birmingham really don't know the extent of everything he's done for the program and UAB as a whole. The impact he's had off the field in building this program has truly been awesome to watch.

But of course that's still not good enough for half the fanbase. He doesn't have enough experience they say, gotta prove he can do it at a P5 school they say. there's no realistic name right now that would be good enough for the idiots who say shite like that.

This is a good point. Coach Clark has done everything in the state of Alabama. Personally, I think he would have some success outside of the SEC footprint but would be deadly if hired anywhere in the southeast. As a Bama/UAB alum, I hope Auburn is too stipid and never hires him because he would do insanely well there. Selfishly, I hope he stays at UAB but I know that's unlikely. I think the only way Coach Clark stays is if we join the AAC.

No offense Bowl, but I hope Auburn keeps thinking this way. He's the real deal.

Clark is awesome, but it's kind of a moot point. Gus is going to likely go 8-5 this year. That's nowhere near bad enough to get him fired with such a huge buyout. Clark will probably be gone before Auburn decides to come calling.
