Looks nice but it looks odd with it not being centered. What were they thinking?

There's been a long tradition of people standing on the hill outside of that gap and watching the game. They left it open, for now, to keep that tradition alive BUT it is being built so that they can easily close in that gap with seats if they want down the line.

This is the University's explanation: "Every college football stadium has its signature architectural focal point. The look-in opening on the northeast corner of DWRRS is its most recognizable vantage point, allowing Arkansans throughout the years to peer onto the field to see the Razorback at midfield and the illuminated Home of the Razorbacks display. The renovation project will preserve and build upon this iconic feature as a nod toward the traditions of Razorback Football."
It's a place people have always gathered on the hillside to view games. My tailgate is right where the red tent is pictured here so I am happy it is staying this way.

Ok if that's your thing then I get it. It looks good to me.

Oh Good God! I love the party decks.

Yeah, some of our fans actually hate the idea of leaving it off-center like that, but I like it.
The hillside view into the stadium is cool. At the street uphill north of the stadium, you're about even with the top of the lower deck. It's a great view.

I'd love to travel there for an away game.
Sadly, your administration forces us to play you in Dallas.

You're going to hate those scoreboards. More ways to blast ads.
We've had a huge video board for years. Arkansas is the originator of the SEC widescreen race. It was worse when we first got it with the last expansion. When we upgraded a few years ago to a slightly bigger screen, the ads went away during the game and game stats were put on the sides and the game video was actually much bigger. No ads during actual game play.

Can't get a good root system down in Razorback Stadium. Not enough sunlight in the stadium. We've tried before and it just gets torn to shreds with divots all over the field.

Also, what a beautiful landscape. Ozarks in springtime.

Here's an exterior version I haven't seen posted, showing where they are placing the "wild band of Razorbacks" monument and fountain:

Looks great to me, plusit allows y'all to keep a stadium tradition.
Every stadium is unique and has its own history and focal points.
Sorta like Tiger Stadium with it's Roman Arches on the NEZ....

I like how they did Mike's enclosure in that style as well.
