If you seriously want to stop the trolling, it might be a good idea to keep this little cheerleading threads about how excited you are on the bammer board

Why would we not be excited about a former NBA coach of the year whose face has been attached to NBA basketball on ESPN the last couple of years. just watch a interview of the guy and you would be a big fan.

When I think of a coach coming down (NFL to College or NBA to College) I think of ripe recruiting. An NBA coach is used to coaching at that level. I suppose the argument can be made that he'll start drawing higher end recruits, and in that case - yeah, I'd be stoked! On the other hand, if he can't recruit, this may be a short trip for him.

I don't know, and I'm not going to pass judgment. I wish you all the best unless you're playing Arkansas

You must've missed me (and all other Auburn fans) bitching about Rob Chubb over the years. Oh, and Tony Barbee... We bitched about him a ton, too.

You don't see many Boston Celtics threads on the MSB, do you? Reason #1 is because we are terrible. Reason #2 is because they are meaningless until you get to playoff basketball.

Patton and I are the only Boston Celtic fans that I know of on the site off the top of my head.

The guy is about as charismatic as they come and kids are going to listen to a guy rocking a NBA championship ring. Recruiting is the least of my worries with him.

And yet I've had a lot of discussion with Patton about the C's.

Hell they are a borderline playoff team this season.

You should be excited about the exposure and that he's a known name. As far as coaching, you should be concerned. College ball is more about X's and o's and not players than the NBA is and Avery Johnson was god awful without a top 10 all time hall of fame type player and several all stars. He's also never worked a day on a college campus in his life which should be very concerning too. It's clear he's just using this as a potential stepping stone but there is no telling if he'll even be good enough to step anywhere

Borderline? Motherfricker we're the 8th seed bitch. C's bout to rekt shop in the playoffs. LeBron don't want none of this. I hope we get to the 7th and take LBJ to 7 games like the good ole times.

Probably on the Alabama board.

Check out all of the old game threads from where the Boston Celtics went deep with Kevin Garnett, Stephon Marbury, Glen Big Baby Davis, Shaq, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Rasheed Wallace, Rajon Rondo, Tony Allen, Brian GOAT Scalabrine, Kendrick Perkins, Eddie House, Nate Robinson, Brandon Bass, Marquis Daniels (from Auburn) and so forth.
