There was one PI that should have been called, but the back official was screened. Butch didn't like that they gave us a time out with 2 seconds before halftime, even though Hurts went down with 2 seconds left and Saban was calling for a TO from the time Hurts left the pocket.

And that single penalty was only enforced because Butch chose to take the field position. Had he accepted the Bama penalty, the fouls would have offset and UT would have finished the game with 0 penalties.

If I were an opponent of Bama, and my team wasn't doing much offensively, I would purposefully run the play clock down to near zero on every possession. That way you can at least keep Bama from getting into a groove on offense. May not work for long but it might piss off The Midget and Mrs. Kiffens

yeah, we got away with one on that play but like you said, it wasnt the refs fault because he was on the other side of the play. Damn near the EXACT same thing happened the other direction though cause I remember my lady being like "well, guess they got even on that one"
