He has resigned at Cincy.

This event raises two questions to me:

1. How does he go down as a SEC coach?

2. Is Butch better than we think and Tennessee is a really hard job?

I always enjoyed watching his Auburn teams. They were tough, no nonsense physical teams. He was a consistently good coach who made one awful OC hire and that cost him his job after one season of that experiment.

He really doesn't want to be officially fired. "Resigned" again

A competent head coach would've led VOLS to a minimum of 10-2 this year but more likely 11-1. Butch fricking sucks

It's a shame we won 2 SEC championships and a National Title in the 6 years after he left

The question it raises for me is exactly what scandal will emerge. Who leaves a job with a large payout should he get fired? There's a good chance he's leaving ahead of the storm.

He probably gets his buyout.

He "resigned" at Auburn and still got it. Its a resignation only in the name
