You can just read between the lines that the staff doesn't think he's the answer, but I think he'll be more than serviceable with his support cast

Anyway, I feel like LSU fans have completely forgotten that Peevs is still our special teams coach. Whether or not he can field a competent special teams will be the difference in LSU winning 13+ games or another 10-3 season

Think Harris will be ok as long as he stays healthy. Really think his accuracy and progression will be better. Also think Etling will be a capable back up to manage the offense. Think Cam will mix in more screens and have the QB's focus more on check downs and using the TE when the 1st read isn't there.

Slightly worried about OL chemistry since 3 projected starters were out for the spring. And not sure how Tuehema will adjust moving to LT.

Also slightly worried about how much of Aranda's scheme the players will be able to pick up on defense. Have complete faith in Aranda though.

Even better than I did going in to last year with the exact same question mark (QB). It's the best WR group in school history on paper. DL isn't as deep, but the 2-deep is nasty. DBs should be much improved, even after losing Cyrus Jones. ILB depth is a concern, but the starters are both first round draft picks. Scarborough, Harris, and Emmons have me very excited at RB. Assuming CamRob's suspension is only two games like most everyone believes, we should be very, very good again. Possibly great if the QB situation comes around like it has the past two years. And to have any chance to run the table with our schedule, we'll have to be great. Brutal schedule.

I'm definitely more excited about our team than I have been in a while. Kirby has a different energy level than Richt and it is fun to see.

Now, I think any Georgia fan that is honest expects growing pains this year: new staff, young QB set to take over, thin at some key areas, Chubb conning off injury.

If we get 9 wins I'll call it a good year.

Dive got optimism.

We have a QBS who for the first time in two years doesn't seem to be a head case. If he can distribute the ball without making too many errors we are good here

Excited to see how Ford does as a RB.

WR is a deep group.

OL seems to be a question mark though

Chavis will have our defense I,proved yet again. The question is will we contain the run better.

I think we can be sneaky good.

Auburn is going to need some time to get some traction. Unfortunately, that time is not available. The biggest issue they face this year is going to be keeping the spirits up at the beginning of the season. Starting with some very good teams, it is going to be very tough to win many of our first 5. Once they get down, we will see if they are willing to fight back or just give up.

The offense probably wont be very good early. New QB more than likely, new starting running back, mostly new receivers and two new tackles. Pretty much a new offensive personnel.

Defense will be good. Especially up front. That is if we can keep them out of jail long enough to help us. Not sure what is going to happen with Cowart and Davis but they are hard to replace..

I see Auburn winning 6-7 games. 8 being a ceiling in the regular season. There are just too many teams on our schedule who have similar talent but with a better QB and not a new coaching staff.

Im feeling about like I did last year.

Not great

This is probably one of the most objective self-assessments by a LSU fan that I've ever seen. Kudos.

As for Bama: QB and O-line could either be pretty good or a little better than average. Depends on what happens with Cam and if the others on the line figure things out. I'd be higher on the QB if Barnett wins the job. RB should be pretty good, but a lot depends on line play. WRs and TE are elite.

The defensive front seven will take a small step back but should be among the best in the country. DBs are elite...we could see 25+ INTs from this group.

STs - P JK hopefully returns to his freshman form. Adam needs to work things out on the PK. The spring game was hopefully an anomaly for him. I'll give this group an average rating.

Defense will be as good as it has been in a very, very long time. Linebacker Corp is the strength anchored by Leo Lewis. Most SEC fans will think I'm crazy when I say I feel like our offense could be very very good this year. Fred Ross (led the SEC in receptions last year) back to lead the WR's. Offensive line under went a complete overhaul, adding some very nice juco players and experience. Should be drastically improved in that area. Aeris Williams is a highly recruited rb who has had a year in the system and apparently has made strides as a leader and player. His name will be known around the league this year. This could be anywhere from a 7-5 team to (brace yourselves) a 9-3 possibly 10-2 team. It all hinges on the productivity of QB Nick Fitzgerald. If he is serviceable and average, 7-8 wins is realistic. If he overachieves and picks up where Dak left off, this team could make waves.

Good but guarded.
Offensive questions
Questions a Qb still remain.
WR once again had drop problems(watch bowl game closely). This didn't help B. Harris.
OL chemistry could be a problem with a couple starters missing the spring.

Defensive questions
I feel that if the defense picks up Aranda's scheme they will be pretty damn good overall. If....

Beckwith can stay healthy.
He had a few nicks that caused him to miss a few practices in the spring.

If we can find a competent 2nd MLB.

If we can get better coverage from the secondary. They are as talented a group as any but at times played very confused last season.

Truthfully?

Good.

Defense: Return around 10 starters. 9/10 return on the front four rotation and all the LB's return. The secondary is still the same minus a safety. One of the best rush ends in the league on the edge and a solid core in the middle. One of the best in the league against the run last season and I expect more of the same and much improved against the pass. On paper, could push for a top 15 national defense, like the 2014 defense did(finished top 10).

Offense: Lost a bit, but still feel good. Playmakers at WR all return. Sprinkle will fill in well for losing Henry at TE. Sprinkle may be the best TE in the league, even though Bama fans will argue. Austin Allen in his first season will be set up much better than his brother. He has weapons all along the edge. Run game should be solid with 6th year senior Kody Walker, Rawleigh Williams coming back, and the addition of Devwah Whaley. The Oline will be solid. Bert always has a solid Oline. 3 guys return that have a ton of game experience in Ragnow, Skipper, and Wallace. Have recruited well there so we will see who steps up at the other two spots.

Special Teams: Reed should be a good KR guy for us and Punt Return should be okay. FG's are yet to be seen. Arkansas had quite a few blocked last season that could have won games.

Overall, I think this is an 8-10 win team(including bowl win). With a few breaks and if the Oline and RBs gel early, maybe an extra win if they can get a W at TCU the second week. Enos is in his second season and he got really good at calling plays the second half of the season a year ago. Hopefully that continues to this season.

I'm worried about our oline, cb's, x receiver, and breaking in a new qb. I do think we'll be strong at slot, te, Rb, lb, safety, and dline, but depth at dline could be a problem. I don't think we'll beat lsu, bama, and most likely om. I think aTm, auburn, and Arkansas are toss ups. I think 7-5, maybe 8-4.
