I'm not sure I would want to play in that "offense" if I were him either. Hell, he could be a superstar, but how could you tell? What a frustrating program..

This - it's hard to tell what his true potential is

Alabama is LSU just 2 years behind. We were saying the same thing when we had half of our recruits transfering out. We had no offense and we would just try to score 45 before the other team cause that's about all we were scoring...

Frickin hilarious being lectured about not supporting basketball by an LSU fan. Alabama will likely once again outdraw LSU next year despite Alabama being a trainwreck and LSU having a good team.

If you dont think that TL is easily replaceable then you dont know as much as you think you do.

Lacey transferring has more to do with Releford being the star and Lacey playing a minor role.

Wutttt

Dude was #1 in assists and the #2 scorer for Bama this past season. I wouldn't call that minor.

Lacey is a big loss on the one hand (he hit some big shots and was a starter), but on the other he never looked in basketball shape this past season and looked as if he resented having to hustle. No telling why; maybe he didn't like the offensive scheme or playing defense, or maybe he did not like CAG in general. Good luck to him wherever he lands.

Here is a quote from an Alabama 247 guy:
quote:

OK -- just spoke to a source real close to the situation.

Trevor met with Grant today to determine his and the program's future. He did not have a decision made prior to the meeting, but was not optimistic about staying at Alabama going into the meeting.

After meeting with Grant he feels that it is best for his future to move on to another program. There are obvious concerns about player development and style of play under Grant.

I look for Trevor to look toward the ACC, Big Ten or maybe Memphis.

If that's the case, that is no good. If he is worried about development, then it's gonna be tough to recruit to that. Yikes.

Memphis.

Don't think they have a ton of room for guys that stand around and don't often display much hustle. Lacey is a great talent, but he expects to just be awesome without putting forth the effort. Hopefully he corrects that and has more success at his next stop.

I don't see Memphis either. Just pulled from "Lucky" at Bama's 247 site.

I thought people's phones were just auto-corrected "Lacey" to "Lucky" or something at first I haven't heard of the guy, I try to stay away from the "state-run media" if you will.

inorite?

I wish we would send grant packing and snag bruce pearl as soon as he is available. He is a great coach and you cant not like the guy.

The hell I can't. Wimp Sanderson and Mike Dubose are close enough in the rear view mirror for me to know that Alabama doesn't need a coach who can't keep Little Brucie zipped up.

We can hire an outstanding basketball coach without this woman setting up shop on the Strip.

He had a close friend come out and say Devonta was looking into transfering. It has caught some credibility from a few people close to the situation. Still not sure though.

Transfers can become an epidemic. It may have made it's way into the Bama program.
