It's incredible how many recruits end up like this. I mean, obviously some guys are late bloomers, but most of these kids know from the 9th or 10th grade on that they have the talent to earn a college scholarship. Yet many of them end up not getting all of their classwork done until the last minute.

I agree with this. Why aren't these AAU "coaches" taking better care of these star athletes academically? Obviously it isn't that hard to meet the HS graduation needs considering how many football scholars enroll in January before their freshman year.

Maybe getting Trevor Lacey will help you Gumps finally win the NIT next year.

Everyone I've talked with thinks he'll be cleared. They say the player is notified before the school is.

I think Lacey would be better. Hopefully we will actually get the chance to see who is better on the court.

I've warned you guys about getting to excited about Huntsville players but I do hope they both get the chance to prove me wrong.

Doss says he's good to go, Lacey says he's good to go, now UA just has to officially recognize it. The people I've talked to feel confident but who really knows

With the ridiculous one and done rule, meaning a basketball player only has to go to class the fall semester, why should we really care if they need to "qualify" or not?

Dsiclaimer: I mean this as a shot at the one and done rule. Not at actually qualifying to attend an institution of higher learning.

I sure hope so. This Alabama team has a chance to be as good or better than we've ever been.
