He had to retake a portion of a science class. It was a two week type thing, and then he had to go before the clearinghouse once again. No one knew long ago that he'd been cleared. It WAS known, however, that he had a qualifying ACT score

When people inside the athletic department didn't know if he'd qualify, then I definitely don't think you would know, even if you do personally know Lacey. Regardless, it doesn't matter...he's cleared and we'll have a very good basketball team

It's incredible how many recruits end up like this. I mean, obviously some guys are late bloomers, but most of these kids know from the 9th or 10th grade on that they have the talent to earn a college scholarship. Yet many of them end up not getting all of their classwork done until the last minute. Glad he made it in though. We should have talent AND coaching this year. It's been a while.
