Must've been to his mother. What a sweet kid.

It's her phone.

Seriously? You believe ever guilty person is charged and prosecuted?

Don't get me wrong...I have no idea, but your post seems a bit naive at best.

I just believe in the justice system. Naive, maybe. I just get sick of college athletes immediately being persecuted after being accused of sexual assault. Innocent until proven guilty.

Yes, sexual assault is a real thing and doesn't need to taken lightly, but there is a reality that a girl got too drunk and made a mistake that she woke up and regretted, she was the talk of the town (all the girls calling her a slut etc.) and she saw this as the easy way to get out of it without thinking.

I'm not counting anything out or saying he didn't do it, I'm just not putting him on the stake until the facts say he did it, and charges are filed/prosecution.

P.S. frick my life for not noticing that was her phone

He actually went triple negative and said what he meant in the worst possible way.

Justice system and sexual assault usually don't have much to do with each other.

This stuff is just incredibly difficult to prove. It's all he said/she said.

It's an incriminating text, and he likely did force himself on her but you can't prove it in a court of law so he is Florida's starting QB.

Sad, but that's the way it is.

if you were actually assaulted, why would you be textings- or better yet telling that person where you are?

They also exchanged phone calls afterward. The text by itself certainly doesn't look good but there is a lot more in the police report.

With "date rape" or an assault like is alleged here where she was friends or acquaintances with the accused and was in his room with consent, but claims she said no to sex...I can see some dialogue like this occurring.

if you are going to assume this much, do you not think its equally plausible he assaulted her?

If you would actually read the report on the link the OP posted, they shared text both before and after the incident (2:00 AM, after they got back from the "club").

She didn't seem upset to him.

Absolutely. I'm just not jumping to either conclusion.

She didn't?

Telling him to not try her or not come near her?
