Spot on. His combine made it clear he was not NFL material. Jeff Fisher made a bold PR move selecting Sam and it worked for the Rams.

Jeff Fisher didn't make that move, Roger Goodell did it for him. Roger called Jeff and said he really needed to pick him or it would be a PR nightmare. Jeff said he didn't want to do it because he wasn't a good enough player but Roger said he'd pay him whatever it costs for drafting him and to do it. That's a fact. NFL teams knew he was gay before he came out. He came out to try and be a martyr if he wasn't drafted, which worked.
