Poor USC fans. I can't even begin to comprehend how Boom landed on the list of potential coaches let alone got the damn job.
It's almost impossible to fathom. It really is.

People can't say we didn't go for a ballsy hire.

being hired, it's definitely a good hire. This board is a rotten cesspool of flaming idiots.
10-13 his last two seasons at Florida

Uh huh. Because everything is black and white.

and here I thought my post yesterday that Boom was leaving the barn was just made up rumors.

Muschamp is young. I am sure he grew as a coach from his experience at UF. He was in over his head at UF and it showed, but Muschamp IMHO deserves another shot as being HC, and SC is a good fit. I think Muschamp has the potential to be a good HC, and hopefully he learned that no matter how good your defense is, modern cfb requires you to put points on the board.
I think it was a solid (not great) hire

Outside of Richt to Miami, I'm not seeing any great hires this year...just solid hires.

No, his buyout has no stipulations

No, your post yesterday was a twitter link to an al.com speculative article with a title that led people to believe it was a done deal. This thread today actually has a touch of legitimacy, though still nothing has happened (and the OP was smart enough to put the word "expected" in the title).

There really isn't factual information out there that would support your side of this argument

Will got tired of all that fambly atmosphere .

I actually agree this isn't a terrible hire. I think he will be pretty solid and have a better plan for offense.

That he didn't make correct hires on the offensive side of the ball?

Same here, if true.

He couldn't get the OC hire right in three tries in four years at Florida but now he suddenly will at South Carolina?

If I am not mistaken, Boom came close to being hired last yr by The Old Ball Coach as his DC, with the possibility that Boom would become the HCIW. So he's been on the Cock's radar for at least a year or so now. Not that surprising when looked at in this context.

with the right OC hire it could be pretty good for the cocks. wonder if he would consider Malzahn?

Or Lashlee at the very least.

Boom is going to assemble a great staff and steal a lot of Bama/Aub/UGA recruits while they are still trying to figure out who their staff's are for next year. Probably going after some LSU recruits too, since there is so much instability in that program.
