THat aint happening even with a playoff. Bama's pass D is amoung the worst in the country, 3rd down conversions gave up is amoung the worst and the D doesnt create turnovers. Monroe has a QB that has thrown for over 600 yds in 2 games this season and everyone now knows the formula to beat Bama is to pass, pass again and then pass some more. You're gonna see 50-60 passes a game against Bama from every team we play from here on out save maybe LSU and Arky. If Monroe gets to moving the ball early and has success through the air I believe Monroe wins a close one strictly due to the pass D not being anywhere near average. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Monroe- 38 Bama 34. If they lined up and tried to run, no, Bama walks with a win but if teams can throw successfully we can beaten by anybody. I think it goes ULM jumping to a big lead early like 17-0 or something and then hanging on. I'm gonna say the ULM QB throws for 400.

We got told we wouldn't get a rematch before.

You....you're JOKING right ?????????????????
THAT was the problem ! That in December 2011,
the media kept hankering for a rematch, Saban begged for one at halftime of the SECCG, and whaddya knowwwwwwwwww ! Suddenly, 7 BCS human poll and coaches poll voters DROPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPED Big 12 Champion Oklahoma State to FIFTH OR SIXTH, and moved Bama UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP to #2 - in the biggest sham of a charade of a bullshite media lobbying and ridiculously corrupt voting ever.

Oklahoma State had one of the Top Ten SOS in 2011, beating Oklahoma by FOUR TOUCHDOWNS in the Big 12 Championship Game. But....they then got DROPPED in the polls from 2nd or 3rd to 5th or 6th ???????????
C O N F E R E N C E C H A M P I O N S - but DROPPED

Alabama had a Top 75 SOS in 2011, finished in third place in the SEC, but yet - they go over OSU ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I thought SOS was a big component in the BCS calculations ??? Apparently not this year...

If that was what the media and the corrupt 7 BCS human poll and coaches poll voters wanted it, then my question:

Why even PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

the SEC Championship Game that year ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

And why didn't MICHIGAN get a "do-over mulligan rematch against OSU in January of '07 ???????????

This is exactly the mentality that makes Alabama fans, as a collective, the most insufferable fanbase in all sports.

Only scratching the surface, but yeah, the entitlement is pretty ridiculous. When you look at the years between Bryant and Saban, they are a solid program, no doubt, but certainly not anything more than any other top tier SEC program over that timeframe. Given that most of them were either not alive or were too young to appreciate Bryant, it makes it even more absurd. They don't have any inherent superiority, they've simply benefited from having two of the best coaches ever. It'll be nice to see them come down to earth for sure.

And if it wasn't for Mark Emmert and Joe Dean, Saban might never have even left the north, much less come down to LSU and eventually to bama. You're welcome bama........

If other program across the nation lose games and Bama wins out. All the while Bama's schedule stays tough by seasons end. Bama will have a good argument for a playoff stop.

Don't think this Bama team is ready, but we'll see what they'll grow into soon enough. Now, teams usually don't win champions with terrible 3rd down defense. Especially with terrible 3rd & long defense! Bama has got issues to fix before worrying to much about playoff spots.

I love these Georgia and LSU fans chiming in--with their record of winning nothing of any significance lately. Like they would remember anything about being in the hunt for a national championship.

Albeit, you are correct, what the hell does this have to do with this season?

It really is roll-on-the-floor funny that fans of other SEC schools post in a thread on the SEC Rant. Oops, I did it again.

Dude, this is not the same Alabama team as 2011. 43 points to Ole Miss at home? Really? You think that defense from '11 would have given up that many points?

This defense is better than last year's d. 150 yards and two touchdowns were on two odd plays.BTW, who says you have to have a great defense to win it all? OSU, Oregon, TCU etc..,have all allowed people to score a bunch.

There will be no mercy when the tide plays LSU. If there is one matchup in the sec that is PERSONAL it is lsu and alabama. Had you beat last year if it were not for a STUPID head coach. Bring it gump. Your day has come...................

Nobody wants re-match except the team that got beat in game 1! No, Ole Miss already beat you and they should not have to play Al again. You act like Al is entitled or something. You got your mulligan against LSU. That was your only chance that year and its much harder to win that second game when all intangibles are against you. Just stop with all this rematch crap. If you run the table and it works out that way then so be it.
