Coastal Carolina is a really good team. They have won 48 games. Have an RPI of 8, which is 4 spots higher than TCU. They have played 19 games against top 50 competition and have a record over .500 in those games. Their SOS is 9 spots stronger than that of TCU.

Here's my reasoning. Since 1999 when Super Regionals began, there has been no clear evidence that hosting the Super helps a team get to Omaha. Only 53% of the host teams move on. I dare say it hurts a teams chance because the 43% where they lost, they were probably favored. This is bearing out with the SEC teams left in the Supers. The reason, given by experts, is they have a tremendous amount of pressure being favored and from their fans. Bulldogs, this is clearly our case in that of the 9 times were have gone to Omaha, only once (1) have we hosted. So next Super-We'll Pass

Wow. Just checked back on this thread. Never intended for it to rustle so much. Was supposed to just be a "get your crap together" thing. I realize they have to be good to have gotten here, but you guys are LSfreakingU. Step up and do that tournament thing you guys do so well.
