How can Arkansas have 43 titles in 5 different sports if 42 of those 43 are in T&F/CC?
indoor and outdoor, men's and women's.

So 18?
A&M National Titles
Mens Golf (1)
Mens Outdoor T&F (4)
Womens Basketball (1)
Womens Outdoor T&F (4)
Womens Softball (2)
Mens Football (1)
They also "won" football titles in 1919 and 1927 that aren't AP and "won" equestrian in 2002 and 2012, which don't count either. If you included those 4 then you would get to 17. But if you included those 4 you would need to add non-AP claimed football titles and equestrian to a lot of other schools, too.

Why only AP titles for football? That screws Arkansas and Ole Miss.
I know why this bothers you. And it's not because you care about arky and ole miss

Best way to get a clean cut off without getting into "claimed" title debates.

That explains it.
Running isn't a sport though.

I mean, technically it should also dock LSU a title, but we all know that the board loses its mind when you "only count AP titles" unless it is directly applied to Alabama and Alabama only.

Then your OP should say 13. Your math is off again

It was a screw up in counting A&M's football titles. They do have 1 AP title.

should include AP, UPI, and Coaches. wouldn't change anything for those two schools, though

I mean, technically, at minimum, the major selectors should be the bar (AP, UPI, Coaches, BCS). It would just be disingenuous to dock LSU of a BCS title, regardless of the board losing their minds over it

Lol, sounds good. I don't care and included it solely to avoid this sort of thing.

You should also had the FWAA, if you're going to start adding things, because it was one of the major selectors for many years. Not our fault they fell off.
