Alex Collins is very limited in what he can do, he is a hard runner and Arkansas has made him a very good player, sometimes it looks like he runs a 4.8 40, he barely breaks those long runs.

Rob might be he doesn't just sometimes look like he wants to be on the field.
I think its close but Hurd might be better.
Tabor is like a young Haden but he got picked on a lot last year.
Florida plays 4 basic coverages quarters, press, cover 3, and cover 1. Last year they usually had their cornerbacks do different things like.

They were in a Cover 1 with the Sam & RCB playing Press, and the LCB and FS playing off.

Here's another one.

They didn't believe in to much safety help, he believed in speed so often when the corner back had to leave on an island which is tough. Things like this happen

Also here you see a FS lined up as a LB, Florida was more intent on stopping the run than pass last year.

Tabor is good but he needs more experience.
Florida's safeties weren't dominant on tape.

Lorenzo Carter at LB surprised me. His high school game on ESPN he got pushed around like he was on roller skates. Did. Not. Want.

Then, when I see him at UGA he is making plays all over the field. Completely different player. Good for him

Echoing WG's point, I don't think he was much of a hand-in-the-dirt type of DE. But at OLB he can blow by a lot of Tackles. I'm pretty sure he started playing football in HS so he was pretty raw technique wise as well.

He's also gained some pretty good weight since arriving

Oh, and BTW this is a pretty solid list.

Beckwith is also somewhat liable in coverage and really inconsistent. This happened in back to back plays.
He shoots through the gap superbly, then next play gives up a long gain to a walk on.

Beckwith is a bit inconsistent, but using a play where he (a MLB) got beat by a WR to display his inconsistencies in coverage is ignorant. There isn't a MLB in CFB that can cover a wideout on a 9 or seam route, which is what was run on that play.

Collins biggest flaw is he tends to dink and duck so to speak. A lot of times he will try to be too shifty before he hits the line of scrimmage. He isn't the downhill "here I come with bad intentions" runner that Williams is.

Oddly enough once he gets past the line of scrimmage and squared up he will run as hard as anyone, its that all important first few steps he can get in trouble. IMHO at least.

Damn good list for the most part. Was expecting much more homerism.

Anyone complaining about the adjustments each player needs to make - everyone can improve. Just because Duke Williams "needs to improve hands" it doesn't mean he has bad hands.

Agreed. People need to stop complaining.

This may very well be one of the best off-season threads on SECr. I would love to see more Bama players on here, but on offense especially I doubt there's much tape on our skill players outside of Henry. I think Kelly might be worth a top 5 spot among OL, if you're saving a spot for a C.

Alabama will be stout against the run this year. It's our secondary, as always, that leaves me concerned. Brown should be solid, but the way we play we need at least a solid, if not lockdown, corner opposite of him. Not sure we have one at this time (talent's there, but experience?)

We have a ton of POTENTIAL at WR and QB, but it's very raw atm. I'm not sure how it will pan out.

Arkansas has 2 other OL better than Dan Skipper in Kirkland and Tretola.

If you have 7 WR's you should add Alex Collins to the RB group because his cut ability is better than your top 5, though doesn't have the top end gear.

He got all of his sacks in SEC play, not vs some DII teams like Garrett.

Hate that Beckwith was left off, but there are some superb OLBs in the league.

Not sure I like Lacouture over Godchaux at DT, though.

Hard to disagree with much on your list.

Glad to see Brothers mentioned. He led the SEC in tackles/game against ranked opponents and is the top returning LB in most statistical categories.

Scherer should be on an honorable mentions list.

They're the top two returning tacklers in the conference coming into this fall.

"Williams is a raw receiver, as one could expect given his lack of experience. He needs to improve his route-running and hands," reads his scouting report. "Williams dropped some passes deep downfield that could have gone for big plays."

Route running is the correct thing he needs to improve on, as well as lateral agility. On his drops, his hands are not the issue. Concentration is the issue. Those are two very different things.

No need to flame in this thread, barnett is ranked #1 and no one has argued it.

Take your insecurities elsewhere

The UT player who pushed the QB down should have...Barnett should not.

List is pretty good besides this. Amari Cooper literally tore Hargreaves up and down the field last year for 10 catches, 201 yds, and 3 tds. Cooper also went for 9 catches, 224 yds, and 2 tds vs Tennessee.

People doubt Tre White because of his size and he stays out of the spotlight but he came in as a true freshman and started over Jalen Collins and Jalen Mills at corner. But I guess its good for a corner to not have his name called too often. I also think that by the end of this year Kendell Beckwith will probably be somewhere on that list of lbers.

Please explain how, based on tape, you feel Tony Brown is a better CB than Cyrus Jones.

Brown had a bad year. Florida was probably his best game. The other games were pretty ugly. By the end of the year he was like the 4th or 5th CB in rotation.

Cooper did that to pretty much everybody. Collins was on Cooper so it doesn't really say much about White's standing on this list.

VH3 is slightly better in pass protection but Cam is better against the run. They about as close as you can get, imo, statistically and as pure players and playmakers.

Kudos for even picking up on Brian Randolph at Safety. Guy is legit but totally under the radar.

Only major miss is Jalen Reeves-Maybin. Guy is fantastic at OLB.
