In my opinion these are the top Sec players for next year via position, this is from hours of watching tape not bragging but I watch a lot of tape and these are the best from what I've seen, forget the hs rankings these are the guys who really stood out.

Top 5 Qb's
1) Dak Prescott (Miss State)(Needs work on short throws)
2) Kyle Allen (Texas A&M)(Make better decisions)
3) Jeremy Johnson (Auburn) (Better touch)
4) Joshua Dobbs (Tennessee) (Better reads)
5) Matty Mauk (Missouri) (Consistency)

Top 5 Rb's
1) Nick Chubb (Georgia) (Haven't watched tape)
2) Leonard Fournette (LSU) (Better vision)
3) Derrick Henry (Alabama) (Haven't watched tape)
4) Jonathan Williams (Arkansas) (Break more tackles)
5) Jalen Hurd (Tennessee) (Better cuts)

Top 5 Wr's
1) Duke Williams (Auburn) (Needs to improve hands)
2) Pharoh Cooper (South Carolina) (Haven't watched tape)
3) Laquon Treadwell (Ole Miss) (More potential than college production, needs to improve route running).
4) Josh Reynolds (Texas A&M) (Versatility, also coming of injury)
5 Marquez North (Tennessee) (Finish routes)
6 Travin Dural (LSU) (Nothing much really)
7 Ricky Seals Jones (Texas A&M) (Hands! and Play to size)

OL
1) Laremy Tunsil (Ole Miss) (Be more punishing in the run game)
2) Cam Robinson (Alabama) (Over extends alot )
3) Germaine Ifedi (Texas A&M)
4 Vadal Alexander (LLSU) (Be more dominant)
5 Dan Skipper (Arkansas) (Handle athletic pass rushers)
6 Greg Pyke (Georgia)
7 Mike Matthews (Texas A&M)
8 Avery Young (Auburn)

DT
1) A'Shawn Robinson (Alabama) (Get better pass rushing, could make the argument he is the best front seven player in the SEC)
2) Montravious Adams (Auburn)
3) Harold Brantley (Missouri)
4) Robert Nkemdiche (Ole Miss) (Should be higher, could be a better pro, he's just not as impact full as those ahead of him in the college game)
5) Chrisitan Lacouture (Better pass rushing)

DE
1) Derek Barnett (Tennessee) (Tape sometimes doesn't match stats but he's good)
2) Myles Garett (Texas A&M) (Run defense!)
3) Jonathan Allen (Alabama)
4) Curt Maggitt (Tennessee)
5) Marquis Haynes (Ole Miss) (Wanted to put carl Lawson here, opted not to)

LB
1) Leonard Floyd (Georgia) (Gonna be a first round pick)
2) Reggie Ragland (Alabama)
3) Jordan Jenkins (Georgia)
4) Lorenzo Carter (Georgia) (Counted 18 Qb hurries!)
5) Antonio Morrison (Florida) (101 tackles!)
6) Kentrell Brothers (Missouri) (All he does is make plays)
7) Josh Forrest (Kentucky)

Cb
1) Vernon/Cam Sutton (Florida & Tennessee) (They're closer than you expect Vernon is slightly better though)
3) Tony Brown (Alabama) (Shut down Roberson of Florida and Locked up Treadwell, needs to get better against the run)
4) Jonathan Jones (Auburn)
5) Brian Poole (Florida)
6) Tre'Davious White (Needs to get more consistent)

S
1) Jamal Adams (LSU) (Tape against Notre dame is special)
2) Jalen Mills (LSU)
3) Tony Conner (Ole Miss)
4) Jonathan Ford (Auburn)
5) Armain Watts (Texas A&M) (Criminally underrated, a real head hunter)
6) Brian Randolph (Tennessee)
7) Quincy Mauger (Georgia)

The fact that you put Skipper on our line above Kirkland or Tretola is enough to say your list is shite. Skipper is overrated and gets his arse kicked by pass rushers CONSTANTLY.

Did you read it? I said he needs to improve against that, fact of the matter is he's the best run blocker on that line.

Nice effort into this but Duke Williams needs to improve his hands?

Showed in tape and this was also his scouting report.
quote:

"Williams is a raw receiver, as one could expect given his lack of experience. He needs to improve his route-running and hands," reads his scouting report. "Williams dropped some passes deep downfield that could have gone for big plays." Duke had 45 receptions for 730 yards (16 yards per catch) with five touchdowns in only 10 games last year. The 6-foot-2, 224-pounder is graded currently as a Rds. 1-2 prospect.

Tre White is very consistent he just needs to get better at shedding blocks. Dural needs to get stronger and learn how to get separation in receivers. Solid list.

I agree with your question. The only tape of Duke he must have watched was the spring game from this year. Duke did have a few drops in it.

I think we could poke holes in any list, but I have to say this looks better than most preview magazines/ bleacher report style rankings i've seen.

He started two games, against Florida's best wideout Robinson who came of a 15 catch game, Tony held him to two catches for 14 yards.

He never game him leverage.

Funny how people will disagree with one ranking and declare the list sucks. It's actually pretty solid.

I agree with the poster who said it was better than most Bleacher Report style preseason rankings.

I think Kendall Beckwith is a top 3 or 4 MLB in the conference, and remember the name Dwayne Thomas. You'll be hearing it a lot this year if he can stay healthy.

All-in-all I appreciate when people actually put thought and effort into a topic. frick the haters.

You're actually a pretty good poster agregime1.

Thanks, I enjoyed this.

Although I love Skipper, we have other guys who deserve that spot more, imo. Tretola would be my pick.

Also, Jonathan Williams is pretty good at breaking tackles, but I don't think our coaches want our ball carriers getting injured while fighting for extra yards. Petrino was here when JWill was a freshman and he fought like crazy for extra yards back then.
