Just to start a topic not about how Alabama "isn't a dynasty" (which they're clearly turning into) or an A&M fan saying LSU is going to go 500. So lets do this.

1. Manziel- I personally think he'll dip a tad with game film on him and losing what he does on his line, but you can't argue that the kids a baller.

2. McCarron- Extremely efficient and plays his best on the big stage.

3. Yeldon- Basically whatever back is behind Saban's line will be in the Heisman talk.

4. Clowney- Bar none the best player in the league IMHO, but defensive players just don't get the love.

5. Todd Gurley- I have trouble putting him here because of Marshall but if he takes over the backfield he could be in for a monster year.

What say you?

I'm gonna say that the Bama/A&M game being played at the beginning of the season is going to remove either McCarron or JFF from consideration early on.

One will have a bad game that day, and that is all it seems to take.

I agree with this, but Clowney may be the one to break that. Glad it wasn't Teo, Manziel deserved it. But I don't see a better player than Clowney next year right now. That could easily change, because good players can come from anywhere, but for right now Clowney is my favorite.

Honestly, if Hill dominants the carries like he did from the USCe game on(except the Clemson game, WTF) he could be a darkhorse. Most gifted RB ive seen at LSU in a long long time.

Teo clearly wasn't one of the better players in CFB, but he had a personal story and ND has a resurgence story that he was riding.

I don't see a better player than Clowney either, but that doesn't seem to matter.

I sincerely hope Clowney gets the hype he deserves for Heisman this upcoming year.

Agree 100%. Clowney would be the #1 pick this year as a soph. And its hard to imagine this, but I cant wait to see how much he improves during the offseason. If he can add a few more lbs of bulk and keep that speed off the line, good god what a player he could be.

if mariotta has a good year look for him to probably get in the running. braxton miller will be back as well. think a wr from the big 12 maybe will come up as well?

JFF's LSU game??

I hope Clowney becomes the first defensive player to get it next year - obviously it may be a long shot for JFF to repeat.

If Aaron Murray puts up similar to better stats as this year, he'll be in New York.

I say we nominate someone to point a gun at Clowney, whatever happens after that can be the feel good story that he needs.

I'm literally hard at the thought of Yeldon as starting RB after another offseason in the S&C program.

Over-pursuing the run is one thing I've noticed with Clowney.
