that's fine, Fournette did all of that as a sophomore anyways with horrid QB play. If Harris has improved, I think we all can agree that Fournette will have a monster junior year, especially considering the OL has matured as well.

If he gets close or above 2k next year, there won't be much of an argument left.

Any list without Anthony Dixon is shite, especially for the last 10 years.

I don't see how Gurley isn't #1, if not ever in the SEC.

Sure he got suspended and missed some games with the ACL, but when he played he dominated. He was already the best RB in the nation as a freshman. First touch of college was a kickoff for a TD. Again, if we are going on pure running back talent (not how many games they played), then Gurley has to be #1.

I'm definitely biased, but these are the facts. Only one of the list that can make a case is McFadden. Gurley's vision alone, makes him the best, not to mention his other deadly attributes, stiff arm, hurdles, speed, agility, power, spin move, etc.

There's not one poster on the rant who wouldn't pick Fournette first if he was an NFL GM. Anyone who says otherwise is either lying or a moron.

I will agree. Fournette has it all.

I don't know why y'all push this meme so much. Your tackles got a little banged up and weren't stellar in pass protection, but they were a pretty average Saban OL when it came to run blocking (ie, very good).

What is the criteria used for this list?

To be a shitty ESPN writer that wants to post a click bait article to get SEC Ranters panties in a wad over something that could never be properly measured because each one played against different era defenses and behind different OLines.

Did it go into double OT? I remember TG III went ham in OT at tech around that time. Man, what a beast.

Hard for me to place Fournette above Gurley at this point. At times, Fournette hasn't looked extremely impressive to me, especially against tougher opponents. Will have to wait and see how he does this year

LF7 hasn't even been the best RB in the SEC either of the last 2 seasons. If he is the best in the SEC next season it will be his first to accomplish that.

Saying Derrick Henry wasn't much of a threat to take it to the house is ignorant as hell. That was my point.

Summer of George got it right.

I'm biased towards DMAC. I think we talk about him in the same breath as Herschel, Bo & Barry.

That said, Gurley, Chubb & Ingram took 2 or 3 guys to stop them. Every down.

Tre Mason was so fast, he couldn't be caught when defenses knew in advance where he was going.

Dexter McCluster was misused and under used by Nutt. A rare talent.

Henry is/was a freak of nature.

Never was starry eyed over Lattimore. But the kid was a fine human being.

Fournette needed to be on an offensive powerhouse team, instead of a defensive powerhouse team.

As someone else said, no list is complete without Dixon. Literally irreplaceable for MSU.

Impossible to list just five. But DMAC is number one.

I love college football. SEC football.

Go Hogs!

It probably has more to do with saying that Henry didn't have the big play ability when he scored on lots of 30/40+ yard runs
