Yeah, but they will say the coach found out but didn't inform the compliance department like he was suppose too.

There's a difference in this situation, though. I believe the compliance department said they knew about the cars, but they didn't think there was any violation. That's showing an obvious lack of interest in watching over things.

Semantics dude. You're pathetic at flaming. Get a new hobby.

I believe I have not gone back to that thread as I believe it to be at best hearsay and speculation.
But your comments are the absolute truth?

It was one dealership, mainly, and they were sent documents and "copies of checks" for each vehicle.

I'm sure OSu is on the phone with 0U, Baylor, SMU, Texas, aTm, and TCU about how to skirt around this matter...

And you haven't heard jack from him in months either, have you?

Well after that article he did have a bunch more on AU, then he moved to lyles and LSU. Thayer's article's are the epitome of getting the story out first and generating web hits

I should clarify. Yes, he's worked on articles, but b/c of the quality (or lack thereof) of his initial reporting, no one has taken him seriously.

USCs probation resulted from the actions of one player and the coaches supposedly didn't even know about it.

People forget that USC was coming off probation when Carroll was hired and they went immediately back on probation when he left.

The Trojans have been on probation a lot, and a lot of that due to their crazy, obsessed boosters. I'm sure Alabama, Auburn, and Texas can all identify with that.

Clemson almost got the DP after the 1981 season. Not sure what they actually got hit with though.

If this is true then how pathetic are you to respond to my daily work of enlightenment about AU's SMU Style recruiting.

Wow, so you take this seriously, that makes you even more pathetic.

So, you got any hard facts yet, with your daily work and all. or is it all, how you said before, "at best hearsay and speculation"

Don't you know? This guy has hated AU ever since his friend (i.e. a kid that lived down the street that only knows him as the weird old man down the street) Lache Seastrunk liked AU more than his beloved LSU Tigers. He went off the deep end when AU fans stated that AU had backed away from Lache and has been lobbing accusations as a supposed insider against AU ever since.

Not as pathetic as you.

No one really cares what shite you're spewing out of your mouth. Until the NCAA hammers us with sanctions....it's all hearsay and speculation. And guess what? That includes your "preachings/enlightenments".

I would not be surprised to see them lose 40+ schollies over 4 years, with a 4 year bowl ban and maybe even a TV ban

But, but, but, Jim Tressel is such a good man and he's done so much for the community and this all a conspiracy by ESPiN to throw off the NCAA from looking too hard at a certain other team. And, and, and tOSU is in the Big10 and that means they have like real high academic standards and great integrity.
You don't believe me?? Ask an tOSU fan.

I don't think there is any question that OSU will be found to lack institutional control. Hell, when your head coach knows of violations and tries to cover them up and keeps knowingly playing ineligible players, that is the very definition of a lack of control by the institution. This was not a rogue booster or running backs coach. This was direct and admitted involvement by the most powerful man on campus. If all the 50+ cars turn out to be violations as well, we could be looking at penalties even greater than Alabama or USC.

After the Cam Newton situation, the NCAA is looking for any way to show it is still credible and hammering OSU will be its solution.
