Let's make one thing clear: if Ole Miss loses to UGA at home, that is an upset. Ole Miss has a better roster, better coaches, and UGA will be in the early stages of installing a new scheme. The game is also at home, where Freeze only loses later in the year, not September.

Until Ole Miss beats UGA for the first time since I was in elementary school, I'll believe it when I see it. It still would be an upset if the Rebs lost.

You didn't? How do you think people make pre-season rankings?

Also, ask Auburn's 2004 team if they think losing back-to-back to USC in 2002 and 2003 factored into ranking of USC ahead of AU in 2004.

Won't be an upset as Ole Miss will be 1-2 and unranked coming into our game.

You do realize you have the same players from last year. Not sure why you guys think that team will be favored.

LSU's best team ever wasn't favored against Bama despite beating the tide earlier in the season and the game being played in the SuperDome

Man you guys think so much of yourself. You have lost 5 years in a row. If you somehow win, it will be an upset. I think you lose, again

Dude, it wouldn't have been an upset if we won last year and were already 0-4.

Michigan has beaten Ohio St only 3 of the last 16 years, including 4 in a row. If both came into that 2016 game with equal records or not far from it, Michigan winning still wouldn't be an upset.

Ole Miss over FSU: FSU QB situation won't be settled yet, but it would still surprise me a little if Ole Miss actually wins this. Will be a low scoring game.

SC over UGA: Georgia will be coming off of the toughest two game stretch they'll have all season (@Miss, Tenn). Perhaps I'm still scarred from the Richt era, but this seems like a classic trap game.

Va Tech over Tenn: Justin Fuente is new, Bud Foster is not. VT always plays over their heads at least once a year (see win at OSU in 2014), and when that happens, it's led by a spectacular defensive effort. I could see the Hokies frustrating the shite out of Dobbs all night and potentially pulling the upset.

So you're not predicting UT over Bama?

Oh wait, I doubt you'd consider that an upset.

On offense. I expect them to be nasty on defense as always.

Would this really be that much of an upset?

If you take the average of all 10 major preseason rankings to be released so far this year, Ole Miss is #11 and Georgia is #12... most of those were released prior to the NCAA clouds that are hanging over Oxford started getting darker.

Not sure this qualifies for the #1 upset of the season.

Ole Miss will be favored. So it would be an upset. A very unlikely one at that.

Have you even watched OM play football? Or even taken the time to read a box score?

I do have to make a note: that game inside Vaught Hemingway may feel like a home game for UGA. Considering all of the out-of-staters who couldn't get into UGA go to Ole Miss may still cheer for UGA on the side. Although, now that we are better in every major sport than UGA, that feeling may have subsided.
