For Auburn I would say:

Newton, Marcus McNeil (consensus first team AA), and probably Carlos Rogers (lock down corner for a few years).

Honorable mentions are Ben Grubbs, Cadillac, Fairley, Dansby, and maybe Damon Duval (punting and kicking specialist).

Is it just me or is Mizzou's just as good as anyone else's top three.

We've had some monsters here.

You know that Richard Seymour had 223 tackles for UGA as a defensive tackle, right? He even led the Dawgs in tackles one season.

To me, that's more freakish than what Aaron Murray did in a Dawgs uniform (not taking anything away from Aaron... just trying to remind people what we had 15 years ago).

Justin Smith was very similar playing DE at Mizzou. In three seasons he had 275 tackles, 53 TFL, and 22.5 sacks. He broke the school sacks and TFL records his last season with 11 and 24. Those were later broke by Aldon Smith.

All sports or just football?

Football:

Johnny Manziel
Von Miller
Mike Evans

Those three dominated on the field moreso than Dat Nguyen, Ty Warren, Jason Webster, Dante Hall, Melvin Bullitt, Michael Bennett, Martellus Bennett, Jake Matthews, Luke Joeckel, etc.

Basketball:

Acie Law
Antoine Wright
Deandre Jordan

Baseball:

Michael Wacha
Tyler Naquin

You do. If you include the last 15 years (1999-2013), you can make a case for:

Dante Hall
Robert Ferguson
Ty Warren
Sammy Davis
Jaxson Appel
Melvin Bullitt
Martellus Bennett
Jorvorskie Lane
Jake Matthews
Patrick Lewis
Luke Joeckel
etc.

Seymour did it on the inside at DT (although I think Smth had a lot more sacks and TFL).
