He was so far in over his head. All of you idiots acting like Croom did a good job forget that coaches got Croomed when they lost to him, that is how bad he was. Teams fired their coaches for losing to him.
Just a few observations:
1) The SEC West has been better During Mullen's tenure than it was during Croom's for all the people out there trying to compare their records like it's the same. Watch how MSU plays under Mullen vs. how they play under Croom. No comparison.
2) Croom seems like a very nice guy, but I did notice a few times during the fluff pieice that Croom pretty blatantly blamed MSU, such as saying "the athletic department didn't have his back" or "I didn't quit, I got asked to resign". He acted very bitter, and I think if I watched it again, I'd be able to pick up on even more things like that.
3) I thought it was embarassing how they tried to make it seem like Croom would have been the greatest coach of all time if only he "went against his morals"
