Majors, Lewis and Henry were all better than Lauricella

I'll be honest, I know a good bit about the greats of years past in this league and I had no clue who Lauricella was

No.
The decision between Henry, Majors, and Lauricella is a toss-up though.

All original here, bro

1) A lot have selective memories about Ingram. He carried that offense at times. He had a great 09 season. Would have lost South Carolina game without him taking over.
2) Alexander was not soft. If he had tried to run the ball like a downhill bruiser, he wouldn't have done the things he did. He was subtly quick and ran with tremendous use of leverage.

Mrs. Ingram put this list together.

The only reason for this is because he was selected in the first round and grossly underachieved his first two years in the NFL
Had ingram came in and rushed for 1K yards as a rookie then no one would bat an eye at him being on the list, because the guy was a monster at Alabama

I'd drop Emmitt to 5th and move McFadden and Faulk up a spot each.
Also I have no idea how Shawn Alexander is not on that list but others have already addressed this.

I can name six backs (in my lifetime from Auburn) that were better backs than Ingram.
1. Bo
2. Fullwood
3. Rudi
4. Stephen Davis
5. Cadillac
6. Ronnie Brown

What exactly are you basing that on?

Ingram on the list is an absolute joke. He was literally the third best running back in the state at that time.

He's got too much AU in him Paul

That's it? Crowell was talented as frick but nobody is going to include him on this list.

Compare the numbers. Ronnie's numbers are very close to Ingram's, as far as averages...and Ronnie had to split time with Cadillac. Ronnie was a GREAT back. He showed his talents in the NFL when he was able to be the featured back. Now look at what Ingram has done to show his "talent" in the NFL.
Ingram was a great college back, but not close to being top 10 in SEC history. Like others have said, Alexander was a superior back to Ingram/ as far as bama backs go.

Why do people constantly try to bring NFL careers into a discussion about best COLLEGE backs?
