Tony Barnhart is an UGA grad. If he picks UF over UGA in tiddly winks then folks had better pay attention to the UF tiddly winks team.

Okay, I thought he was a Stanford grad, you are right on UGA, it's Ivan Maisel who's the Mobile native but Stanford grad

I actually believe Georgia wins the east this year fwiw. Isiah Wilson will be a road grader for Chubb and Michel.

UGA returns everyone on the DL from last year, when they had about 4 freshmen in the rotation.

Barring a significant number of injuries, I imagine they will rely more on the experience and redshirt most of the guys they signed at that position. UGA honestly should have one of the better defensive fronts in the conference. I'm not trying to sound like a homer in stating that, but they have some good players there.

But I do agree with you on the OL. They're a mystery and starting a freshman or two there could spell trouble.

You sure about that? Also, a weak OL is bad business in our conference when nearly every team have freaking monsters on the DL.

Returning the entire 2-deep in the front seven.

OL is a concern, need probably two freshmen to play well.

I just don't see UF as having particularly strong personnel in the trenches.

Florida should have one of the better offensive lines in the SEC.

Former #2 overall recruit junior Martez Ivey at left tackle
Freshman All American sophomore Jawaan Taylor at right tackle
Former 4 star UA All American redshirt freshman Brett Heggie or junior Tyler Jordan at G
Tyler Jordan or 6'6 340 lb one year starter Fred Johnson at G
TJ McCoy at center, who started midway through last season and the run game was at its best with him in the lineup.

I really like Florida's OL this year.

The front seven on defense is going to be strong again too. Between defensive linemen like Cece Jefferson, freshman all SEC and all time freshman sack leader at UF last year Jabari Zuniga, three year contributors Khari Clark and Taven Bryan, former 5 star sophomore (got sick last year and lost 50 lb but back to normal weight now) Antonneous Clayton, amongst other contributors on the DL like 3 year contributor Jordan Sherit and Jachai Polite and incoming freshmen the defensive line will be fine.

Linebackers including freshman all sec David Reese, hard hitting guy like Vosean Joseph who came on at the end of his freshman year last year and led the team in tackles the last four games of the season, and rising sophomore linebacker Kylan Johnson who had 41 tackles in a reserve role.

Florida is not taking a huge step back on defense. They will be top 15, again, like they have been every year in the last 30 years except for 2007. Muschamp didn't invent defense at UF boys

I believe Florida has a big year. I see them coming to Atlanta 11-1 against Bama 11-1. Should be a great match up.

I know UF has some good players. I just don't see that as being particularly strong. UGA and UT have good players too.

I've been on record saying 11-1 this year. Win your home games and take 2/3 from Michigan UGA and FSU. I would be pretty disappointed with 9-3 again considering the amount of talent we have on offense.

Didn't realize you guys had that kind of talent on offense. Are you expecting quarterback play to be elite this year? Didn't you guys have a pretty putrid offense last year?

QB is the big question.

But everything else is there for UF to have an elite offense.

UGA OL is definitely the biggest unknown in the East. If they play like they did last year, this is a 8-4/9-3 team at best. If they look like they belong in the SEC, this could be a really good team.

All they needed was 10 points to beat LSU last year.

Yeah, 7 defensive draft picks ago.

Yeah and I think only 2 of them played against LSU. The rest were injured. UF started a ton of backups on defense in the LSU game, it was crazy.

Somebody has to emerge the least crippled.

Winning the East for the last 5 years or so is like winning the Special Olympics

It's a safe pick. The dawgs look to me to be a year away. We need contributions from 2-3 freshman on the ol two deep and that's never good. They are incredibly talented freshman (much more so that the upperclassmen) but still..

9-3/10-2 is UGA ceiling this year. Could be worse with a few injuries.

I originally picked UGA for the east then got to really looking at both teams schedule.

Florida plays winnable games on road and all the tough ones at home.

Talent among all three is as even as it's been in a while. That will likely make for chaos.
