He's probably already working on one.

If Notre Dame is in the top 4 this committee's credibility will be shot from the beginning.

Not that tonight matters with almost half the season still left (including championship games).
That said, tonight's initial teams will be: MSU, FSU, and AU at 1-3.
Number 4 is questionable, but will be one of ND, Bama, Miss

I hope you're right. Instead of excuses, I'd just wait for the Iron bowl.

Why would Bama be ahead of Ole Miss?

Because we lost to LSU

Depending on how much you weigh head to head, home field, margin of victory, "good losses" and "signature wins", you can get all sorts of results. It amazes me how many people in the sports media are basically giving Oregon a pass on their ugly loss because they had injuries to the OL.

Will be SEC 1 and 4 or 2 and 3 to make them play each other first round.
Would be funny if they made two teams that are 85 miles apart fly 2,000 miles to play each other.

there is no fun in that.
If they're voting based on what's "fun" they should be fired on the spot. It's not about fun, it's about doing their job and getting it right.
This also isn't a projection of what they think will be the playoff teams in December, it's how things are seeded as of right now. I wouldn't be shocked in the slightest if theirs is the same as the AP poll. Not a big deal if it is either. We still have 5 weeks plus championship weekend to let things work themselves out.

Auburn's best win and loss are better than Bama's.
Auburn's only loss is to the #1 team.
Bama has a much better defense and a slight edge of offense. Bama is the better team.
Plus, Bama is going to beat LSU, MSU and Au to win the west. Then win the seccg and will be the #1 seed in the first CFPO and win the first CFPO. at the end of the season BAMA will at its rightful place #1 holding up the Trophy. The Dynasty continues :)

I believe this would be the right thing to do but there is no fun in that. The committee is expecting a lot of controversy So I believe they will deliver just that
This is not what the committee is supposed to be about and I will be disappointed if it is what it becomes. If I wanna get trolled I can listen to Finebaum. This committee should be about nothing but trying to find the best 4 teams in college football. Nothing more, nothing less.

I hope Michigan State is ranked worse than they are in the AP/Coaches. Apart from Nebraska they have done nothing

The loss loses it's value when you get your arse whipped. After the first four minutes of the game you were never within 7 points of them.
And WVA and KSU will decide for themselves which of those was the better win.

Can't wait to see the melts. I hope they throw ND in there.

If ND ends up in the top 4, this whole thing is a travesty.
If they're in the top 4 today, I'd agree because they've beaten nobody. But it doesn't really matter if they're in today or not. If they win out, they'll be in the top 4 at the end of the year. If they don't win out, they won't. Same could be said for most SEC teams. Who cares who's in the top 4 or not tonight.
