Calipari is like you said taking advantage of the one and done rule
He does make the rules his position is to win basketball games for UK best way he sees fit
Still if a player would like to play another year in his program do not force that player out. I do not know if that rumor is true but according to a lot it is

IMO best way is to find a way for the student athlete in his sport to be able to paid a certain amount once he loses his amateur status

Odell Beckham came from a well off educated family. I do not know much about Simmons besides he is from Australia.
With Beckham, LSU should be proud. I am not sure if Simmons will do they same for your university.

He seems like a good kid. What I am saying is there wasn't enough time for me to develop a rooting interest in him after his time here. Also I know it is a lie we sometime tell ourself regarding student athletes and them being there for school, but you get that sense if someone was there for 3 years. They had the LSU student experience just like me and there is a connection.

And players have addressed it. He's asked several players back but apparently because he doesn't pull a Roy Williams begging Harrison Barnes to come back, he's "pushing them out".

If a kid doesn't want to be recruited over, that's on him to make sure they don't take his spot. I don't fault a kid for looking elsewhere for PT when he realizes he may not be able to crack the depth chart. In the case of Marcus Lee, he went back to California because of family stuff.

I thought the main goal was winning a national championship not producing NBA players in college basketball

Wake is failing miserably at both.

Remember that time y'all had Tim Duncan? And it was the best team Wake had ever had in their history? And Kentucky summarily beat their arse in the tournament anyway? I sure do.

I am glad you have fond memories of Wake
That UK team in 1996 receives my upmost respect because at that time Kentucky ran a true basketball program
Like I mentioned before you sold your soul to the devil for a few victories.

Are all the ACC posters in here just absolutely terrible or what? The Clemson guy, now this? I expected better.
