If KA wins the next 10...he'd do something he couldn't do as the actual coach, be over .500!

Seriously, it was great to see them win last night as it reminded me of how much I love Mizzou basketball.

As for the source, someone on Gabe's board mentioned that the Lobo's coach is from Indiana and was an assistant for Alford, so there is a connection, as odd as it sounds, back to IN from the Lobos.

I hope Mizzou hires a good coach, we need more good teams in the league. We shouldn't have to dread playing a conference foe because they're an RPI killer.

They did...but back in 1999. Bill Self was in one hotel room, Quin Snyder in another. The basketball guys, like Jon Sundvold, wanted Self, Mike Alden supposedly was leaning that way, but a certain donor who went on to give a bit over $25M to the AD wanted Snyder. So, Mizzou hired Snyder.

Snyder could coach, and that's being displayed in the NBA, but it was all just too much too fast for him. He was only 32 and hadn't been a HC anywhere. Plus, he was coming from Duke, so I think he didn't realize how the NCAA and others would treat a non blue blood type basketball school. Meaning, things you can get away with at Duke, aren't happening at Mizzou.

Self then went to IL the following year, built them up to the point where Bruce Webber took his team over and made the Final Four, then went to that dirty program to the west of us.

Dwayne Wade coming with him? If not congrats on getting a weirdo who can't make it past the Sweet 16.

But I was told I was talking out of my arse. This is old news.

Oh, Clappy is going to drive Mizzou fans nuts and he is a disaster.

Revisionist History is best done when you use actual facts to justify your reasoning

Missouri has been a train wreck since Stewart left because of reactionary Mizzou alum, fans and donors

Mizzou since Norm:

9 NCAA's in 18 seasons...not great, but no horrible.

Two Elite Eight runs, two 30 win seasons, nine 20 win seasons. Decent again, but not great.

Anyway, my point is, Mizzou hasn't been great since Norm left, but they've had their moments such as the two Elite Eight runs and two 30 win seasons.

They've also been God awful for the lows, such as Snyder's off the court issues, both with his team and himself, Mike Anderson's failure to recruit anyone during his last season at Mizzou, Haith...won games with Anderson's talent, but man was he a train wreck behind the scenes. NCAA issues up the arse with him. Then came Kim...

Does watching KU win another Big 12 championship and getting another #1 seed in the tournament just twist the knife deeper into Missouri's gut

Was there ever a time when Mizzou was KU's equal in basketball

You may consider them a rival but I have since I remember seen them as a superior program

That 2002 Elite 8 run was as what a #12 seed

You played another low seed in the Sweet 16 because UCLA knocked off the number 1 seed
