When Alabama smokes an opponent in the BCS title game, it's "fortunate". When auburn catches a miracle tip to keep their hopes alive, it's "destiny".

I don't think there's much fortune involved in games that end in 42-14 and 49-0.

I'm talking about getting to the national championship. Alabama had nothing to do with Ohio State's postseason ban in 2012. Alabama had nothing to do with Stanford being screwed over by the refs against Notre Dame. Alabama had nothing to do with Oklahoma State losing to Iowa State in 2011. Please acknowledge that Alabama benefited from unprecedented circumstances in the BCS era in order to make it to their last two national championships.

Perhaps I should have worded my statement better. I was referring to off-the-field circumstances that helped Alabama get a spot in the national championship in 2011 and 2012.
