I think everyone here feels Gurley is one of the most talented runners in the SEC, when he plays of course.

I agree but I am getting irritated that everyone wants to say he's injury plagued. He had one injury that nagged him all year and he had a freshman campaign he made it through unscathed despite having to carry the load.

Best RB in the country. Guaranteed first rounder. Should definitely sit out this year and workout.

Now that Tre Mason is gone, yes.

Jeremy Hill would have also given him a run.

Really hope he is back to 100% next year. Best back in the SEC by a fairly wide margin when he's healthy.

Mason had a good year due to the offense he played in
Wait, wait, wait...

I thought that gimmicky, high-school offense wouldn't work in the SEC? And now that offense is the reason Tre Mason was so successful? What about Mike Dyer? Ben Tate? Did you miss Tre Mason last season? Where he rushed for 1,000 yards in that abortion of an offense Scot Loeffler put together?

Come on, people.

Mason definitely aided by his offense. No other offense would give their feature back 317 carries in a season. It doesn't happen at any other SEC school. In the SEC, only 4 backs had over 200 carries, with Rajion Neal leading the way at 215. Yelden had 207 and the other two had 203. So, Mason gets over 100 more carries in Auburn's offense, than any other SEC school. Yeah I think that aided his totals. I will say that it is amazing he withstood that workload!!

Of Course Toddd Gurley is the best RB in the SEC. But let me say this: He's gonna have some competition this year because the SEC as a whole have some wonderful high round NFL types so he's not just gonna be much better than some others like Fournette of LSU and Derrick Henry of Alabama or whichever 5 star RB takes over at Auburn.
Gurley isnt' much better than Yeldon really.

I never said he was injury plagued. He missed three games and portions of some others last year. I think he was fine in 2012, I just don't remember. I think this will be his last year and should be putting on a show.

I should have clarified I didn't mean you. But this thread and many others people continue to claim how injury prone Gurley is

An injured Todd Gurley is better than some of these guys. Overall, I'm not so sure that Jeremy Hill wasn't the best RB in the SEC.

Gurley had 222 carries in 2012 and never got hurt. It's not a pattern of injury like Lattimore.
Still can't let that go huh?

I thought Lattimore was a phenomenal back fwiw. But he did have an injury pattern probably because his injuries were far more extensive

I really liked him
