We all watched 9-6 and came away knowing that Alabama was a better football team
They still won... LSU outrushed Bama by 50+ yards and held Bama to under 100 yards rushing (which was the stat LSU thought they needed to win in a physical game). Bama tried a bunch of long prayer FGs with a shaky kicker. It didn't work out. Bama got to the red zone once and only reached LSU's 17-yard-line. LSU kicked a FG at the Bama 2 on 3rd down in 2nd quarter due to the time running out. They also almost scored a TD in OT. LSU got stronger as the game went on and actually drove Bama backward in OT. Bama moved the ball better on more drives, but always stalled and only ended up with 50+ more yards of offense.
Bama wasn't quite ready for JJ and option in that one. But Saban with a month to prepare and revenge were on Bama's side. Also, LSU had 30 yards passing in the SECCG. With nothing else to surprise Bama with, the writing was somewhat on the wall. LSU was on such a run that fans weren't really focusing on the potential problem though.

LSU fans have pretty much thrown in the towel and conceded defeat. Must you pour salt on the herpes wound?
