So as of right now we have finished top 10 in 22 of 82 final AP polls. Good for 27% of our seasons ending top 10.

Subtract Miles 12 years, we have top 10 finishes in 17 of 70 AP polls, good for 24%.

Subtracts miles and Sabans 16 year stretch that included 7 top 10 finishes, then I'll subtract only the 13 years that were our worst stretch, 1988 to 2000. I'll do this since both clearly happened yet people act like only the good stretch was the anomaly.
That leaves us with top 10 finishes in 15 of 56 AP polls. Good for 27% of our seasons ending in the top 10.

No matter how you slice it LSU has been a top program, and should not settle for mediocrity. Les hasn't finished top 10 in 4 going on 5 years. Had us unranked 2 of the last 3. We have to beat Missouri to be .500 in our last 10 games.
We had to make a move and we'll be back where we always have been sooner or later, this hire or the next we'll see.
