If you're talking about the MSC, it's been in place since the Korean War. They did a 2-year renovation on it that just recently completed.

And while we're talking grass and the Memorial Student Center, that is the only grass A&M asks you to stay off of. It is a memorial to all Aggies that gave their lives during wartime. I don't know about you, but I don't go around trying to disrespect fallen American soldiers.

This is not directed at the OP, but I feel like this is one of the most randomly misunderstood things about A&M.

Behind the anonymity of a board people can get obnoxious but I agree with the OP. Most Aggie are nice in person, I know a lot and with very few exceptions they are nice folks, like most people are at the end of the day. I give this to Texans. In most States rural folks are nicer than the urban type while people in Houston and other metropolitan areas are fairly nice there from my experience.

The Thanksgiving day game has some positives and negatives for the fans depending on where the game is being played, where you are and if you are attending or not. Can’t see much benefit for the teams, specially the traveling one. It is an Aggie tradition, not an LSU one. Nothing wrong with them wanting to play that day. Just do it with Texas or somebody else.
You can stop complaining about it now. The TV folks have decided. Since LSU isn't going to play home games on Thanksgiving, ESPN got the Egg Bowl lined up to take this slot, permanently (or as permanently as these things get) starting next year. So, may I kindly suggest that you save your complaints for an issue that is still relevant.

Yup, Ags are good people overall. The fake rivalry on here seems to be from the basement dwellers. Great campus, cool people and great tailgating

No, we have some history of games on Thanksgiving but it is far from a tradition.

Lot's of Aggies are happy about the move away from Thanksgiving also.
