Let me just say I love visiting the A&M campus! All of the Aggie fans are super nice, the campus is charming, the women are beautiful, and Kyle Field is electric.

I love the tradition too. I tailgate in front of the new Veterans Memorial building. Love seeing people get yelled at if they don't keep off the grass.

Looking forward to being on campus on Thanksgiving Day for what should be a great game!

I don't understand why the LSU fan base got bent out of shape about playing on Thanksgiving. I think that could have been a nice little tradition. Everyone has off that day, which makes it easy to go to the game.

I sat in the 500 section in 2014 and froze my arse off! Hopefully I can get better tickets this year.

I'll be making the two hour drive up Highway 71 from El Campo, which is always a pleasant drive.

Behind the anonymity of a board people can get obnoxious but I agree with the OP. Most Aggie are nice in person, I know a lot and with very few exceptions they are nice folks, like most people are at the end of the day. I give this to Texans. In most States rural folks are nicer than the urban type while people in Houston and other metropolitan areas are fairly nice there from my experience.

The Thanksgiving day game has some positives and negatives for the fans depending on where the game is being played, where you are and if you are attending or not. Can’t see much benefit for the teams, specially the traveling one. It is an Aggie tradition, not an LSU one. Nothing wrong with them wanting to play that day. Just do it with Texas or somebody else.

Thanks for the nice words and I feel the same way about LSU fans. I've seen two games in Baton Rouge with no problems. Had a great time at both.

However, I disagree about the Thanksgiving game. I'm all for moving that game to the Friday or Saturday after. It was a cool tradition against Texas (though it hasn't always been on Thursday), but it is also a huge inconvenience. I try to make every home game and having it on a holiday makes it difficult.

I guess as I get older I value convenience more than "tradition."

Cobra Corner Store in Vanderbilt not far from El Campo best burger in Texas. Get to go hunting in Edna every year with a friend of mine from El Campo. Awesome part of Texas.

Most aggie fans I've met in person were good people, just like every fan base they have idiots that troll message boards. We all like to give each other shite but I'm sure the majority of people on here wouldn't be to bad to hang out with.

Glad you enjoyed the visit!

Looking forward to Thanksgiving (I love the game on Thanksgiving day, personally). Y'all are a fun fanbase to interact with irl.
