They should hopefully use him the same way if not more next week against the Seahawks. That should be one hell of a game

Payton needs to go watch the way the Bucs almost beat Seattle on the road (ran the shite outta the ball) and use that gameplan

I suggest you do this new thing called Google. Type Mark Ingram and injury.

I thought he had a solid game but it was funny as hell to watch them give the ball to the rookie over and over at the end of the game with the win on the line. Guess he still has some fumbling issues.

Ingram could rush for 2000 yards and 30 TDs next season and certain LSU fans would still call him a bust

I like to see pretty much all sec players do well, especially Bama players.

If healthy Mark will be and is a good NFL back. He needs a little blocking like ever other back. Just feed it to him, he gets better as the game goes along.

Robinson #29 looked good last night also. Credit the OL for the offenses success.

Their hate for Bama is so strong that it completely disables them from using ration

Do y'all think he looked great playing against one of the worst run defenses in the NFL?

First, Bama fans are just as much to blame. Yall put Ingram on a pedestal and set him up as a target. That just make it easy for LSU fans when the kid did not perform. It isn't just one fan base.

Second, the Saints made a horrible mistake. Trading two picks (1st and 2nd I think) to get a player who does not fit its offensive system was dumb. The Saints could have picked in the later rounds or gone free agent for its type of running back.

Last, Ingram was injuried his rookie year. Maybe this goes back to his injuries in college. Maybe he was a bit of damage goods. If Ingram had gone to any other team and they tried to use him as much as Bama did, he might have nevered healed.

I am glad he is better and glad he performed good last night. Overall, I think he is gone this year, unless the Saints change its offense profile. This has been a better situation for Ingram than for the Saints and that is probably why he is called a bust.

Edit note: spelling

This stood out to me also. Payton loves Robinson and he's much more explosive than Ingram. Ingram will be gone after his contract is up unless he's willing to take much less money.

t was good to see him finally get it going, but one game doesn't get him out of the bust category

Not sure of you've watched the saints this year or not, but he's played well in every game during the second half of the season. Averaging over 5 ypc.

And if I were somehow able to use the "ration" you speak of, how would I do so?

I'm glad to see him picking up steam a little bit. If he can help us win it all this year.. he was worth the money. He's still not worth signing to his second contract unless Pierre Thomas can't heal up. There's no scenario in which I'd rather have Ingram on the field than Pierre.. Dude has been straight up terrible for the vast majority of his career, even when he was healthy. I'm just hoping he has a great play-off run, his stock rises, and we can trade him for something useful before he goes back to being himself.

Robinson is better value than Ingram too.

Meh, Mark Ingram just isn't a good NFL back. It's that simple.

Even this year, when is he supposedly playing "better", his best two games were against the Dallas Cowboys (one of the worst defenses in NFL history) and the Philly Eagles (yet another horrible defense). And he's only had one game, in his career, of over 100 rushing yards, and that was against that Dallas Cowboys defense.
