They project Bama to go 2-2
This is probably the best case scenario. I couldn't tell you the last time Bama won its way into a tournament, as opposed to losing towards the end of the season and getting a lower seed .

If some how you guys can finish 3-1 and grab that 4th seed...it will help your RPI...chances are you will play at least a top 70 RPI team in your first tourney game and possibly win. That gives an opportunity to play a high RPI team in the semi finals.

We probably won't go 3-1, and even if we do, we'd then need to win 2 games in Nashville. Odds are that are slim. This just isn't a good enough team to win 5 of 6 against teams with equal or better talent.

If...& it's a big if with the ups and downs of this season...Vandy wins 2 of its next 3 (Miss St, @UK, UF) they are going to be an interesting test case for the committee. Finish 17-14 in that scenario but would have no.1 SOS, low 40 RPI and 5 top 50 Ws. No 15 loss team has ever made the bracket but the expansion to 68 and the shift towards emphasis on computer metrics will make it interesting.
Hopefully we get to see it play out.

Thank God that Syracuse is rolling.

How many teams are the ACC and Big 12 getting in there?

The Big 12 bubble is bursting a bit. Right now, I would say just 6 teams from the Big 12.
Texas Tech isn't making it
Kansas State lost again last night to Okie Lite. Slim chances got slimmer.
TCU is struggling and just 16-11 overall. Getting close to no chance.
All 3 of those teams are 4-8 over their last 12 games.

What if Ole Miss wins out in the regular season and wins 2 in the tourney and is like 22-12

This makes me nervous. Give the Gamecocks a 3% chance to screw something up and I like our odds.

As odd as this may sound...the good thing for Vandy is finishing in the middle of the league. This gives the Dores an opportunity for more wins in the SECt. Going 2-1 in the league tourney with two top 70RPI wins, helps the schedule(which needs no help) but also helps the total win column.
If Vandy can finish 2-1 in regular season, that puts the Dores at 17-14. Go 2-1 in the conference tourney and that is 19-15 overall with a top 5 SOS. I think the Dores would be in. The RPI would be pretty good because going 2-1 at the end here means a win over a top 10 RPI team.

If they did that, then they would only be 22-12.

Good. The Big XII is an overrated league in my opinion

That Michigan win is looking a lot better recently than it did for much of the season as well.
These are the things we didn't have in our favor last year.

I mean, I guess. They just beat Rutgers, who is terrible. They're 4-3 in their last 7 games and are just in the RPI top 50 at #50. 7-5 in their last 12.
