Agreed. I've had enough of Orgeron. I don't need one of his cronies to succeed him.

I want the next head coach to have nothing to do with LSU previously.

absolutely nothing.

Yes. That's exactly what I said.

Kinda...Lavell Edwards is essentially the Godfather of the spread passing attack. His main purpose was to coach
an offense that QB could learn "in a week"

Different styles of "spread" but yes the AR can be installed pretty quickly. Ive seen clips of their practices and im surprised more teams dont do what they do.

5 qb's throwing to all 5 receivers on every snap, no route is ran for nothing and the qb's rotate which wr they throw to in their progressions so by time they cycle through the play they know where each receiver will be. they call it the typewriter effect

If LSU is going that route I'd rather Frank Wilson or PJ Fleck. At least they're likeable.

Wasn't Coach O likeable????

You know that means a complete rebuild reboot right?

Like LSU might suck for five years to get there kind of reboot.

No its not. Leach and Mumme modified it slightly, the basic offense is what Edwards invented.

The idea behind the “original” Air Raid package was very simple; indeed, originally, it was just the Hal Mumme and Mike Leach translation of the old BYU playbook. (I’ve included the old BYU passing game playbook at the bottom of this article as an appendix.) Mumme and Leach added a bit more shotgun and threw the ball more often than even LaVell Edwards had. Over time, too, they began tweaking the plays — changing this route here, altering this there — and, most importantly, tailoring the schemes not to an NFL quarterback, or even the great college quarterbacks BYU had like Steve Young, Jim McMahon, or Ty Detmer,

Edwards has an amazing coaching tree includes 3 NFL
HC's and 25 CFB Head Coaches

I would love to see him on Missouri's sideline. If we are going to be a joke let's be a funny one. Not a dull moment with Leach around.

It would take patience to get him going. He would have to go through a full three recruiting cycles basically to reshape your offensive roster I think. And it might be really ugly before that. I would love to see what he could do with better talent though. LSU or any top program wouldn't be pulling in top 5-10 classes under him because he's just not that type of coach but it would still be a big upgrade over what he's had previously

The Tech job was so perfect for him considering the shift that had happened in Texas. The high school personnel in the state fit his system to perfection

Mizzou should go after him this year if they fire Odom. I don't know that he would leave but that would be the perfect type of job for him

Is LSU started a pirates academic program and let him teach a class he might come.

Leech is too much of a free spirit for Baton Rouge. I dont see him ever leaving where he's at. The man walks to work, has his coffee shop along the way and sometimes detours to the library.

LSU offers him nothing he wants

Local LSU Sports guy Matt Moscona just said on his show that Leach called and was extremely interested in the job.

He just said it.

Alleva needs to be fricking tarred and feathered.
