I didn't see enough of everybody to compose a serious ranking thread, so I thought I'd learn from the discussion. My opinion, based on what I've seen. Imagine these guys after a year of training and with better technique.
The best guy I saw, clear and away, was Chris Jones at State. Disruptive inside, disruptive outside, trouble against the run and against the pass. He was good right from the beginning.
If anybody's really close (that I noticed), it's Auburn's Lawson. He doesn't seem as rapid as Jones, but he may turn out to be just as good.
Auburn's Adams is gonna disrupt people for two more years. (So far, all these guys are early NFLers.) He actually gets inside pass rush. Elijah Daniel also contributed significantly -- clearly an SEC player, but not as disruptive as the other two. Auburn had better be recruiting the DL hard right now, because those guys are gonna be playing.
Seems to me, Nkemdiche (Ole Miss) belongs with Adams. Maybe the offseason can teach him to bend and lean around the edge, but so far he looks like he'll be most disruptive in the same role as Adams. People expected him to be Clowney, but make no mistake: he's the kind of lineman the NY Giants used to terrorize people with. He should stay lean and mean, even if he moves inside. Just my nutty opinion.
It's easy to overlook Bama's DTs because they don't get sexy assignments. I didn't really notice Robinson, but Philon is gonna bother people for awhile. Tell me more about those guys.
Let's see what people contribute here.

Robinson had 5.5 sacks. Philon plays for Arkansas.

You aren't showing Bama's Robinson? You for realz? Philon did well at Arky for such a shite show He did well this season. There were definitely some outstanding talent on the DL as freshman. MSU's Jones I will admit stood out for me this year as well.

Sorry. I thought Philon was great. But I really didn't see much of Robinson. If you read what I wrote, I didn't put him down at all - just said I hadn't noticed.

Robinson is one of the best DTs in the SEC.

I agree wholeheartedly here. Him and Nkemdichee should have swapped places during recruiting. He's a monster.

What you did there. I like it. I have added you to the nice list.

Isaiah Golden and Daeshon Hall came on late, as did Jay Arnold. Hardreck Walker needs a lot of work and Manning and Points both redshirted.
