not trying to start shite (although inevitably, shite will probably start anyway, lol), but i was wondering if anyone knows (or knows someone that knows) any of those shell-shocked bama fans CBS was showing at the end of the iron bowl. is it a status they've embraced in good fun, or does it annoy them for being recognized so much, given the situation? i'm genuinely curious, since i'm sure they had no idea of their infamous roles until they got home & saw the highlights or GIFs....

I have no idea what you are talking about. Why don't you remind me with a gif of the kick six (which is the point of this thread in the first place).

stuck at work, and my mobile device won't co-operate with posting gifs. for example, at the end of the game, you remember the fraternity guy with his hands on his head in disbelief? that gif is everywhere....he's gotta be getting some kind of recognition for it, good or bad.

My favorite opening to any thread.

al.com might have done an interview with them like they did with the little boy crying after FSU defeated AU for the National Championship.

I was in the third row, so it's possible they showed me, but I was laughing instead of looking shell-shocked. I also was wearing a Detroit Red Wings hat, I think. The two girls that were with me were probably looking shell-shocked, though. I still haven't seen a replay of the aftermath and I was absent from here for a week after the game because I flew to Vegas the morning after.
ETA: You can probably see me in every replay of the play. I was in the endzone he ran it back to and I was right behind the cameraman that was standing on the box.

Well they probably prefer that notoriety over having their team blow an 18 point lead in a championship game to a non-SEC team.

as a fan of college football it was an awesome game to watch and if I remember it was a heck of a weekend for football games.

I know a few of the band members that they showed. Obviously no one likes to talk about it.

I shoot professional and college football for a living.
Directors want these sorts of reaction shots in every game that comes down the last second. I've had directors say on comm in close, last second games that they'd give $100 cash to camera guys that find tears in the stands.
It's good tv.

That's not fair. The two previous years when we won 49-0 and 42-14, the auburn fans were gone by the end of the 3rd quarter.

I'm friends with the ginger in the Alabama shirt who had his hands on his head. He took it in stride pretty well
