Alabama wins the West.

See how easy that was?

Isn't that the prediction every year?

Yes. When you're as good as Bama, people expect you to win every year.

Those guys will have done nothing but think about revenge for 365 days. And this year, they will be a A LOT better than Auburn. It's cyclical. Next year may be different. But this year, I think Alabama absolutely destroys Auburn. Hangs as many points on you as possible. They aren't out to win - they are out for a reckoning.

Not true, alabama doens't care that much about us...it's all over the message boards.

No one is questioning your fans predictions, i just mearely suggested that every year should be easy to predict for bama...SEC west champs no matter what.

Well to be fair, this wasn't really true from 2000 until 2009.

Very true, but I also added in that AU would suck. I know both are givens, but it brings the payout up if you go for a difecta.

I have seen the OP and some others mention the talent in the secondary. The OP even goes as far to say AU will be weak against the run and strong against the pass.

The problem is 2 or 3 of the guys you mentioned are true freshmen. Their inexperience will rear it's head at the worst time possible. In this league, your secondary will get torn a new one if you have more than one out there at a time.

Also if you are counting on Quindarius Carr to contribute offensively, your offense is in a world of hurt, although I do respect CGM.

For the realistic fans maybe, but both fanbases will have the "we gonna win dem all" every year no matter what.

well yea, that's like the unspoken caveat to every bama prediction, also come hell or high water. Just part of the fun.

Ah, the daily AU season prediction thread, complete with the usual descript words such as "unreal", "gamechanger", and "freak".

The Question I want answered is.Why were all these supremely talented players not at least in the rotation last yr with mediocre players in front of them?

Many of them were. Some were redshirted due to the large number of seniors and some are freshman so they were in high school last year and not available to play.

Also, not all of the players in front of them were mediocre.

That won a fricking national championship. Damn you dumb. GTFO with that cowbell logic.

Of course I can understand how as a MSU fan you have a hard time grasping the concept.

If I had to bet my own personal money I would say AU goes 5-7 possibly 6-6.

I love the whole besides Cam and Nick we were a mediocre football team excuse. If that makes losing to us last year hurt less then keep telling yourself that. To answer why they weren't playing question, well many were. Demetruce made some big plays last year including running down that Oregon wideout. Lemonier and Nosa both played a bunch and showed to be talented guys as freshman. T-Bell came on strong in the last 3 games. The rest are guys that when recruited were very highly rated.

Now I would like to ask you what makes MSU fans so confident they are going to beat Auburn this year? I mean ya'll have beat us once since 2003 and it's not like you had a world beating recruiting class this past season. I understand Bama, LSU, and Arky fans optimism but for the life of me I can't comprehend MSU's delusion of grandeur

Objectively, I don't see AU being as bad as some think/hope. There is talent there, young though it is. Another positive, I don't see the Chiz having the rollercoaster syndrome that tubby had, up one week down the next.

I have no idea how many games they win/lose, but I seriously doubt you see a Texas style train wreck this year. As for my hopes, I don't care if they only lose one game this year. That one I care about.
